So whats the recommended ammount of vets? Does it make any difference if you have 140 or 200 vets accuracy-wise?

I have a pair of IJN lvl 94 ebve gunners on the Nagato and spread is like shotgun. Shouldn't they blockshot?
Folks, too many people keep forgetting that the ACC cap is LEVEL-BASED. That means, that once you reach the cap for your gunners' current level, it is with each level gained that it increases, and by the same token, your gunners' spread.
(Unlike the REL cap which is fixed - once you reach it, your reload will not improve further.)
To put it succinctly: improve acc after having reached acc cap => level up gunners
Secondly, NOT ALL GUNS ARE CAPABLE OF BLOCKSHOTTING

And if you take into account the last 2 posts, you'll end up at Bong's post: The more you overvet, the lighter you can make your gunners by removing recruits from it( while obviously still maintaining the caps).
Personally I wouldn't spend a dime on overvetting gunners, but once you get your gunners up in levels and veterans, you don't actually need experts to maintain both caps for most gunners. So once a conversion event hits you can go on a conversion spree with your gunners, without hurting their performance. All your slaughtered experts will come back through regular play or AA and you can lighten your gunners again.

1.) Most guns don't "block" shot.
2.) There is a level acc cap as well. As you level up, you gain more overall accuracy. Sailor ability cap just allows you to hit the level cap for every level beyond when you hit it.
3.) Some guns have poor spread. Nagato's won't be "tight" until well into the hundreds if your not capping.

All this has been said already in posts above yours.

Perfect example of this is the SoDak.

Yepp. USN BB lines are my specialty. In my experience with gunners, after about BB4, accuracy with 120 or 200 vets doesn't change terribly much.
