ACTUAL LENGTH FEET NF LENGTH cm HOOD 860 10.1 HYUGA 720 7.6 STRASBOURG 705 8.0 KRONSHTADT 794 8.7
Hood imputed scale 860/10.1....scale 85.1 feet real to 1 cm nf
If we then calculate each of the other ships on the same scale as Hood we get like with like NF SCALE LENGTH
HOOD 860 ( 10.1X85.1) 860 FEET HYUGA 720 (7.6X85.1) 646 STRASBOURG 705 (7.05x85.1) 599 KRONSHTADT 794 (8.7X85.1) 740
The other ships in its class are smaller in scale than Hood......thats the hitbox problem ..Nf has actually given Hood a wider beam than Bismarck wheres in reality it was less wide.....

I suspect not ..what about a poll for HOOD ebb selectors ???some genuine feedback....
It's reasonable to put Hood as ebb, bcoz Nelly and and POW already good in it's tier and upgrading/tweaking these ships would be to powerfull. Hood with some tweak and higher lv would be a good tier filler gap.
Of course Hood need to be play diff from those RN front turrets ships, if ppl don't like that playstyle doesn't mean Hood was wrong/bad alternate choice.

Have you played the new ebb hood? It's horrible. I'd rather use PoW. They have the same range, but hood has a horrible spread, and it's huge! The only guns that are somewhat effective on it are the 2x 15" (using better guns puts it over max displacement).... but I could just wait a few levels and use the L1 instead. It's guns are worse than the ships below it, it is basically a the hood (a bb3) with +1 support slots and no other bonuses. It's junk. It shouldn't be classed as an EBB4 and if it is, it needs to be improved.

The 45 OH is max but at level 120 you must left 4 suport at port and put only 4 binds per turrent and 0.2belt and a few bulges. I dont't know usable setup for EBB Hood with more then 45knots. May by some crazy one with one turrent or something like thaht, which is unusable. The difference betveen 44 - 45 is too low and price too obtain 45 is high (4 120lvl support out). So practical max speed is 44 which is one step higher then normal HOOD I thing that 44 will be good sped for normal with 15MK3L for HOOD, and 45 for EBB Hood.
Still bouth Hood need ninja but to be competion on its level with size that have at this moment.

I haven't played the EBB Hood, but if it's a UK BB then it already gets +1 support. So it's really a BB3 with + supports, so I'd say that's a decent advantage. I really like the normal Hood, against other BBs, but the size problem is mainly to do with DBs. And now that CVs only use bombers, I can't imagine using the Hood at all.

You have right, but Shackle have right in One importnt thig, HOOD is too big for its tier. It is BB3 with size of BB5 and that is his graetest problem. With italian BB4 was problem that have BB1,5 (like Couty size) but it was BB4.
I thing that Hood is largest BB3 it needs something be best, But it has only it size.
Hood too big for its tier???? why not O Project II?? The largest BB3 hitbox ever....
Hood is bigger the Opro (which is big as all German sihp T3+). Hood has same dimension as a H39, Iowa, Montana, L2 (L1 is smaller), Yammy,. There is problem he has rather good legnht but is is unralistic wide. He is wider then Bissy (why ? to be BC it need great Lenght to Width ratio to archive great speed).
In short as a clasic speak You may disagrre, dislike it, hate it but it is a fact that Hood is for BB too big and you can't chnge that fact.

Used the hood on a friends account. I rather enjoyed it, too. It plays much like an H39 which is one of my favourite ships. It also benefits from the UK advtantages of high submergence and support slots. It's also wicked fast.

EBB Hood 1939 is generally awesome. Better than Vanny in GB in my opinion. Of course, if Hood1939 plays 1 on 1 against Vanny, not much chance. But in GB, greater speed and turning force is a big deal which helps you get in and get out of a fight more quickly, get rid of an SS chase more easily, dodge from DB/TB more efficiently, and also makes it more difficult for your enemy to hit you.
I enjoyed EBB Hood 1939 all the way to LionII (with at-level crew). With 15*2 MarkIII L + 5.25L AA guns set up, going 44knt at top speed, also with the ability to snipe enemy's scouts, not too shabby for Hood1939 at all.
VERY IMPORTANT: To learn how to sling shot is one prerequisite to enjoy this ship.
P.S. If Hood is ever to be down-sized, even to the size of Renown or Repulse (I'm NOT asking for the size of Lyon, Le Harve, or the generally small little tiny wheeny Italian ships), this ship would rock even more!!! xD
