I took the Courbet, but switched to the Bretange with the ship tree reset I got on the last day. and boy, does it make a difference.

"if" you use auto instead of aim for your FCS, the Courbet's offside gun goes off on another angle (such as the problems faced with many of the ECLs)

the Bretange also gets you bigger guns than the Courbet, the 13" ones instead of the 12" guns. I was managing 20k/game in a blitz match for damage with the Courbet (4 guns only because I use auto and didn't want the stray fire hitting my own ships), and with the Bretange I've been hitting easily 50k/game for damage.

I stopped reading here. Nobody should use auto, period. I use it on FFs and that's it. Using it on a BB? You must be joking.

x2. I don't want to hate on people that use auto on anything above ff level...but seriously...it is really hard not to. Honestly, I can't play with auto anymore. Once I learned manual...I can't stand auto.

Anyways, the answer to this...which was already answered several months ago is both lines. Because you should go down both at some point. In my case I am running them simultaneously and will be hitting these two in a few levels.

The Courbet was good in Blitzkrieg's, that's about it. The Lyon blew out the ass for me so I bought a Dunkerque immediately. The Paris wasn't much better than the Courbet, but it did have some wild damage if someone got close enough (cough cough range). The Bretagne (I have not used it yet) I have seen have held up against BB3s+. And it seems to have the better range of the two. The Lorraine is a nice remodel as well for it. And the Normandie has the speed and maneuverability that the Lyon lacked.

i wnet the courbet line and i never used it in blitz when to GB right away i donno what your talking about lol this was the most fun BB1-2 grind i ever had and i did UK SN before this the courbet was a blast in GB would hang around the middle then rush get some nice damage


but the lyon its like 100x better best BB2 imo 55k damage come at me bro stats abit slow but i would cover the middle wait for rushing ships or go north or south when 1 of there BB4s+ rush i would rush them and slap there crap the spread was abit dusgusting but you have 16shells of win flying everywhere your bound to hit something

Because the Normandie is a mean BEAST. It is way better than the lyon and the paris and I thought it was also better than the lorraine. I ended up grinding the normandie all the way to the richelieu and ditched the paris BO.
