Ok, I finally reached the Colorado after using my useless Guam for a long time, but I have a few questions:

1) How do you play it? It has a bit more range, but just not quite enough to do bb line. Should I rush or what?

2) What guns? I put on the 3x 14"/ 45 cal Mark 7 L because I thought they had better range but aparently I should use the 2x 16"/ 50 cal Mark 2 L.

3) Armour? Is it worth it? I'm fed up of getting one-shotted. My supports aren't good so with 2" deck and 60 bulge it does 23/33.

4) Should I use the Sevastopol? I bought the Seva cause the Guam was so useless, but should I use it now. Which will get more exp for a crew at level 70? As far as I know the Colorado has better range, but I can put the 3x 14"/ 45 cal Mark 7 L on the Sevastopol.

Thanks in advance to anyone who takes the time to answer my questions!

I highly suggest not continuing to level up your main crew until you have gotten the supports you need to run US properly.

Sodak and Iowa are very Engineer dependant ships. OH speed and time are everything for playing those two ships correctly.

If you don't do at least 42 knots OH in the Sodak and at least 37 knots OH in the Iowa when you first get them, you will be very fustrated in the long run.

Also the Colorado is pretty beast when it does 44 knots with b/v/e lvl 80 engineers.

lol i lucky didnt say it was the best bb2 but only that its a quite a ship since it can fit bb3 guns

fuso which i played in is the best one

and i gotta agree with norm sodak is very heavy with the engine sailors and iowa aswell

so start a new crew and go with the other usn bb sipline since you will be able to get more support

and norm i go 38 overheat in my iowa so im doing pretty well :) ghehehehe

:D
Thanks everyone, but now I'm out of the Colorado.

On to SoDak/Maryland now (lvl 79), although I have a slight confusion with the guns. Since I'm only 79 I haven't unlocked all but:
1) At level 78 I unlocked the 16" /45 cal Mark 6. These take up all the space leaving none for ammo.
2) At level 79 I unlocked the 16" /45 cal Mark 6 L (can't loads these, too big) AND the 16" /50 cal Mark 3 ( using these at the moment, same range as 2x 16" Ls for Colorado)

I plan to reach level 80 over the next few days but I was wondering, which guns give the most range (guessing the 16"  /50 cal Mark 3 L unlocked at level 80)? I find all these different types of guns confusing.

R-Mount Space
South Dakota: 458
Maryland: 456

BTW: I'm levelling up 5 new engineers ( 1 Elite, 2 +12s) for my crew.

some of the guns are for the north carolina since that ship can fit the heavier once but then again that ship is supposed to hit hard hehe

the sodak is a speedship with high lvl engine sailors you can zip around doing damage

the 5 engine sailors good the more the merrier but dont use more then 5-6 anything over that is useless

i played the north carolina quite alot so i cant tell you about the sodak guns

in general always use the L variant plus light shells that will give you the most range

though i do have to agree a gun setup is always confusing :P
