Another post from your friendly neighborhood newb...

I've been leveling up (74 now - almost to Nelson!) and having a good time and finding ways to be effective with my terribly innaccurate guns that usually end up outranged anyways. AA, Scouting, and properly timed mad-rushes seem to be my game until I get a bigger set of guns. That said, I want to check out make sure that I'm not doing something terribly wrong with my crew that is going to leave me with big holes.

That said, I probably am... here is what I've got. I uploaded them all to my IMGUR folder as I'm not really sure what other way to do this without taking forever and a day. Not pictured is my "1st Restorer" which I've since dropped off my active ship crew as I hear you don't really need them.

I'm not entirely sure when I classed up most of the support soldiers as it was ages ago.
I'm currently on track to get my Accuracy Gunners to catch up to the Reloads - I read that I should class them to Huge Reload Gunners around level 80 so I can hit both Accuracy and Reload caps. My current Reload Gunners will probably be delegated to AA duty. Everything else is a crapshoot.

Yeah, you are the best, jedizorro.

But not everybody will have the money to throw at their crew as you do.

Actually it was not that bad. It took me over 1 year to get a full crew like that during which time I took advantage of numeral events, such as 300% vet conversion rate, free-expert event (8800 free-expert per account), etc...

That may be so.

You had the good luck to build your crew in "extraordinary circumstances" (these events). This is impossible to follow by anybody else outside events like this, so you can't make this a general "recommendation".

Acutally I believe many of those who have played NF for more than 3 years have already filled their crew with 40% vets. 

So as I said in the other thread, if the new/returning player still has faith in this game and believes it can last another 3-5 years, then starting off a powerful setup doesn't sound too bad a recommendation.
