Stresemann, your thoughts

Strangely there are no posts about the Stresemann yet, or even mentioned at all in any thread. I've seen a few of them around now and wonder how it does compared to the other EBB's of it's tier. I have one myself, but have no crew at it's level, as my EU sailors didn't get transfered ^^
Any insight would be appreciated :)

It is way better then H44... Just the fact that it has the extra support slot makes it a beast... Guns have great spread, and damage is equal to the 110 guns. Over heat is great, and it takes a very good punch... Great ship overall, but not as awesome as the other EBBs though....

I wonder about that - what would make the Duke of Edinburgh awesome, compared to the Lion II?
If Edin is better than L2 (maybe not), Stresemann should definitely be better than H44.

The Guns of this ship seem to be a bit closer together then on H39/H44, which could be an advantage for anything but sling shotting

The stated goal was not to make them better than the regular BB5 so much as give an option to play differently. However, they were intended to be at least as good. That means, with the Stresemann losing AA and being less effective at sling shotting, it would need to be notably superior in other areas - either speed, spread, or damage output. Otherwise, it's just a downgrade.
Now some, such as the Thermidor and Cesare Borgia, as designed, cannot even be slightly different without being objectively better - they have no alternative guns so they have to have basically the same range and firepower, and you can't reduce something like speed to compensate for a buff without making them inferior. Nor can they NOT have a buff without being inferior due to the T-slot situation and larger sprite.

I tried the Stresemann against a Proletariat EBB5.
That ship outranged me by maybe half or a full ship width. Is that the way it has to be ?

U get kitted by Proletariat, aka u chase it.
Dynamic range in battle pretty much nulified KM range advantage.
Park and shot, or shooting lower tier BBs, yeah KM has the most range.

We parked the ships and then tried the range. This was the static case. No angle relative involved etc.
Dynamic elements did not apply!!!!
I still stand by my observation

Wow, my bad.
That problem for gun expert to answer. Only played as far as H44 gun.
Stresemann 115 gun should have similiar performance(range) to H44 gun since with slight diff on shells dmg and reload.
