Arcaniz

Hi guys,

To me it seems weird that there is no general guide stickied here as how to play Aircraft carriers in general and regarding all kinds of textual harrasments ingame I wonder, why not?! :P

So maybe there is an old topic that we can recover, or put some effort in it with several people?

Arc.

Edit1:
Flagellant provided us with a thread from the old forums. It encorporates control mechanisms for your pilots, fight, fly and bombing tactics.
https://fm.en.navyfield.com/Community/Forum/Old/View.aspx?num=101313&searchtype=2&searchvalue=ayeaye&sort=6&category=D07&thread=20&page=1

By understanding basic mechanis of planes and using your aircraft carrier in general it is time to adapt this knowledge to a form that suits you best. It is time to pick yourself a nation.

Each nation has its own stats, sailor types and different sets of planes.
I will add more of this shortly.

You guys aren't seeing the "C O N C E P T I O N   N O T E S" in my Guide Posting.

oh well...I just should Delete my CV Guide Posting; and, forget about the CV Guide Issue altogether.

Sigh...

Actually, my comments were the thoughts that I was having while reading the Postings.

Some ideas were fleshed out while doing the Handwritten Rough Draft.

Well, how to put it gently?

Your post, Quenirland, is not a guide, because it is incorrect nearly everywhere. As just one example, the "potential" stat does not work on a pilot. No idea how you got that into your head.

On a fighter classed pilot, the only active pilot stat is "fighter", not "aircraft", not "bomber". The same applies to scouts ("aircraft" stat) and bomber pilots ("bomber" stat).

So please, before writing something that you want to see on this forum, INFORM yourself. It's all there.

You are not doing anyone a favour by doing what you are doing now, least of all yourself.

The POTENTIAL Attribute has no Direct Battlefield Gameplay Mechanic.

POTENTIAL is a Sailor Leveling Game Mechanic Attribute. Something to do with Attribute Boosting during Sailor Leveling and/or Converting Rookies to Veterans to Elites during Sailor Leveling.

I don't know how POTENTIAL works; thus, I ignore it except for taking notice when the Sailor's POTENTIAL is 11- or 13+.

= = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = =

It has always been my understanding that all Sailors' Attributes contribute to the performance of Ships. However, the Non-Primary Sailors' Attributes are "averaged" and calculated to be "less significant" than the Primary Sailor.

Thus, a R-Mount Gun's Accuracy & Reload Rate is based on the Gunner Assigned to that R-Mount Gun; while, all of the other Sailors assigned to that Ship also contribute to that R-Mount Accuracy & Reload via Average & Ratio Mathematics.

Thus, a Fighter Pilot with POTENTIAL-11 & AIRCRAFT-10 & FIGHTER-11 & BOMBER-10 Fighter Pilot is better contributor to your Scout Pilots and TB & DB Pilots than Fighter Pilot with POTENTIAL-13 & AIRCRAFT-9 & FIGHTER-11 & BOMBER-8.

I do look at the AIRCRAFT Attribute as being solely a Scout Plane Skill; but, I also view it as a Contribution Skill via Average & Ratio Mathematics to the FIGHTER and BOMBER Attributes. Thus, I will always prefer my Fighter & Bomber Pilots to have AIRPLANE-10+ Attribute.

I will accept that I am wrong about AIRCRAFT contributing to the FIGHTER and BOMBER Attributes.

However...

All Fighter Pilots & TB Pilots & DB Pilots begin their Piloting Careers as Scout Pilots; thus, the AIRCRAFT Attribute does contribute to the performance of your Fighter Pilots & TB Pilots & DB Pilots before they become Fighter Pilots & TB Pilots & DB Pilots.

Therefore, it is advisable to have Fighter Pilots and Bomber Pilots to have AIRPLANE-10+; that is, IF you are Leveling your Sailor Pilots from Level-1, and acquiring you Sailor Pilots from the [NEW] Button, like I do.

For those Players who Buy their Sailors from the NF Store; then, this portion of my CV Guide doesn't apply.

I am not knowledgable in the Actual Mathematic Calculations that the Navy Field uses; thus, I may be wrong about the Average & Ratio Mathematics.

THERE you are correct...

Please refer to the appropriate guides. Apparently, you have lots of misconceptions to get out of your head.

You are indeed wrong about the Average & Ratio Mathematics.

Please stop posting your assumptions as a new player might come across your false information and make mistakes.

I think we need a forum mod in here.  He's going to "potentially" lead somebody in the wrong direction.

Quenirland - I told you, the game + stats etc don't work the way you think it does or think it should.  You are ignoring all the other guides, facrts, and comments made by experienced players.

If you click the -game guides - sailor - tab up at the top, it tells you the stat you should be looking for regarding a particular sailor yet you have completely ignored basic information provided by website which isn't hard to find.

I've said this to someone else that tried to write a guide or make a video - if you find your self mentioning that you are not completely sure or don't know exactly what something does or how it works - then you should not be writing a guide - you should be asking questions.  A guide is not something where you jot down your thoughts, ponder, and ask questions - a guide is meant to help and steer the person who asks questions and ponders in the right direction.  You should not be writing guides, YOU SHOULD BE READING THEM.

facepalm

CREW OPTION 1

BO - High Repair stat

Gunners - High Rld Stat ( bc subs and PHH are OP  and you dont really need ACC because you want the shotgun spread for subs)

8 Fighters - High Fighter Stat

or

7 fighters high fighter stat and 1 recon ( some people put a high restore stat on it personally i like high aircraft stat for survivabilty )

or

6 fighters 2 bombers

1 Seaman - High Fighter Stat

CREW OPTION 2 Least Favorite But Many Believe Stacking Seamen Makes A Difference

BO - High Repair stat

8 Fighters - High Fighter Stat

or

7 fighters high fighter stat and 1 recon

or

6 fighters 2 bombers

in spare slot lvl up a recon for HA/FL events or a pilot of your choice

2 Seaman - High Fighter Stat

as for leveling up fighters i leave them rookie pilot till 25 then class to retain some repair which gives more SD in the long run. im sure many will bash me for this advice but it has worked for me all these years. also dont worry about keeping fighters as fighters as long as you dont class to the final tier you will do fine against 60% of the CV population.

thank you for the entertainment Quenirland in this guide i learned so much from such a experienced player i better redo all my crews now.
