  • Navyfield Crashing after HS loads

Well Its what the title says, about 2-4 seconds after HS loads the screen turns black, as if it were about to start up normally, but it just crashes and the  little box comes up that says "Navyfield.exe has encountered a problem" or whatever.  Anyone got any Ideas on how to fix this?
My system specs are:
Win 7 64bit
2GB Ram
AMD Athlon II X2 220 Processor 2.8GHz

Ok go delete the YF.data file and let it get a new copy

Ares have you tried it?

Have to ask!!
Do you use any Registry Cleaners? <-- Firewall exceptions and HS .dll's can be deleted by accident.
Have you updated your AV or Firewall lately? <-- Check the firewall every time it updates, since exceptions can seem outdated and be deleted.
Every time you reinstall make sure your running as Admin.

If you Remove Navyfield using Windows ''add/remove Programs'' and all it's files and folders manually, use the ''HackShield Manual Remove'' and then use a Registry Cleaner you should be able to do a clean install. Think that was what I did to make it work. You can try and install it in a different folder and see if it could make any changes if the above are a complete waste of time. ('',)

I downloaded the HS remover but when I click its nothing really happens. A Black box pops up then quickly goes away in less then a second.

Ok it should just be a CMD window that pops up giving you two choices. 1 delete, 2 quit. If you cannot see what happens you do not have the rights. Tried to open it without admin rights and same happend.

Yeah that was my first though but yes im on an Admin account and I did try to "Run as Administrator" but that failed as well

If you are 100% sure try and download again. Maybe you got a bad copy.

If you can't make it work do this instead.

Try and uninstall NF using windows Add/Remove programs and remove all files and folders left. Reboot.
Use Piriforms CCleaner (or similar, but recc. CC as it seems to actually find the broken entries. Did it with me 3 times) ''Clean'' and ''Register''. Reboot. (Make sure you create a Safe Copy)
Install NF 1.319 and the Update packs as descripeted in ''Corrupted Data UPDATE 07/27'' Topic.

That should do it. Just a little longer process.

Nothing works I might just quit the game. I sent multiple support tickets (One asking for help and another one explaining that the instructions they gave didn't work) and all the GMs did was copy and paste me the exact same instructions! Where is the service? Did they even read the support ticket? well what ever... Anyone got any other ideas?... Wow...

Since we have a patch tonight, you can try to update it and see if it fixes itself, and if not try the full install and make sure you follow the uninstall procedures noted in the common solutions thread
