remember way back when, they introducedthe first 9 prototype ECVs, followed by release of the first 7 ECVs, one per nation(the other 2 prototypes were much later released as ECVs also)  there was an event running and a coupla major minor modifications were made to the game(i e patch).

suddenly, it took many tries and much time to get one sailor out of HQ.  i said it then, and now again, if they backtrack programming to changes made at the APPEARANCE of a problem, the problens will be found. now here so many years and technicians later, the HQ finally works...except with ships...brand new programming i would bet.  and they fixed the minor problems QUICK.

i invite the current SDE techs to backtrack to the LAST autumn EVENT, when some overstuffed their duffel bags, like me,  and most MISSED OUT TOTALLY.  THAT IS THE TIME THAT THE TRADE ISSUE BURGEONED into a BEAST that eventually ENDED that system in the game.  BACKTRACK TO THAT EVENT, and those prollems will be discovered.   the new system that has been mentioned will be BRAND NEW programming for sure.

however, if SDE is short-handed, is it not easier to go to the time of problem appearance, and LOOK for errors?

i know that before trade finally completely bogged, i made and spent probably 2 billion creds legit and proper .  massive fun and enjoyment for sure and it paid off for my crews.
but now, i have one lonely EBVE 50% vet, max expert level 80 KM FP stuck in trade void and in my HQ.  i don't care now, have heroes and super elites created the same to compensate.

but dang, i sure would like to sell him!!!

lastly, most will say i am crazy, so be it...a hard wired modem to PC connection is best for this game.  TWEAK your PCS for optimum game performance...things such as virtual memory, graphics enhancement, compatibility...i am sorry but if you still lag and crash alot...its your own fault.

Yeah old thread but seems appropriate again. Discord comfirms the post.  NF just needs to come clean and tell the truth about the situation. Stonewalling and ignoring the problems is just damaging what little reputation NF has left. I suggest NF at least try to salvage some amount of respect in the community and admit the obvious.

Thanks for the long time support to NavyField. There were lots of things planned on the agenda but kept delaying. The main reason is limitation on human resources. Although we pulled back some of the manpower from NF2 after its failure. However with a small team now we have to support both NF1 and NFM it's tough work(We used to have 100 devs...)   And we spent years in developing NFM after NF2 so it was and is hard time for SDE now. 

Besides manpower, another issue is the coding. Original programmer of NF had left long time ago, if you are familiar in IT stuff you should know that it's not easy for another programmer to follow up the code in short period of time, especially when it's done long time ago. 

I can promise you that we senior management are serious to fix all the issues in NF and I strongly believe NF can live for another 10 years easily if we fix the major problems. However, the agenda may not be as smooth as I planned so there are delay in the schedule. We are trying to hire more programmers to enhance the efficiency, but it takes time to find the right person. I appreciate your patience in the growth of NF with us. 

For those who say we are after $$$ then close the server. It's never true. I am with NF since 2002 and I WILL NOT LET IT go down.  I always emphasis the balance between F2P and P2P. All players are equal weight in my heart.

wow i thought this post may bring some conversation..... i t should have at the time but that aside, yeah you guys( nf) are overburdend and sympathy is with you..... if that is a fact

...... you really need to let community know......just keep us in the loop somewhat......the more you tell us the better we understand....... communication blackouts just fuel shit........ so in OUR own best interests plz just pass it on and we will understand and maybe sympathize....... wouldn't you like that??? the communication thing pays.... this!! from you vinnson should be a post from nf yeah I know management doesn't like that .... do me a favor and copy and paste this to them and let em eat rice balls.
