  • SnG and You: Key to more wins and less lose

When you're playing GB/GB2/blitz...anything involving SnG..the SnG will very likely make you win or lose consecutively for  10+ battles.
(Especially when you're in CL/CA/DD in GBs when you're not the main player to control the outcome.)

However, I find that, just simply by changing the ship you use..e.g. your CA has been consecutively losing all the way, then switch to a CL, then SnG stack you back to the 'non-noob' team and you start to win over and over again

Keep using the ship til you start to lose 3 games consecutively..then switch to another ship to play

Everybody thinks he's skilled. Heck, of those 20 BB ingame I bet you 18+ would say they are better than the others. Yet, every game 10 of those 20 are losing.

As far as I know the autobalancer doesn't sort by crew level. Every ship has some sort of ranking value and the autobalancer simply runs it down. That's why team alpha always has the solo Kaiser, when there is one. And team bravo always has the highest CV.

When you're neither the top BB nor the top CV it's just luck (or lack thereof) if you get into the better or weaker team. Especially if you suck yourself and can't contribute anything to earn the victory...

While for BB that's the case you mentioned

I doubt it applies to CV?... Many times I play BB on bravo and find my team completely blind....

it only works for specific ship types, not if you mix them.

if you got a bb6 on your team, most other bb's will be BB4 max, lot of bb5's on the other team to balance out
if you got 2 in a game, they dont stand much of a chance to end up on the same side

For example;
you get a room with 2 pcv (lvl 100+), and you got the option to play (ijn) Kaga II (lvl 97) or zuikaku (105-ish?)
if you chose to played the kagaII you are pretty certain to split with a pcv, if you chose to play your pcv yourself, getting 3 pcv in the game, you can end up facing 2 pcv with only some extra nub cv's on your side.

It's a matter of balancing. but it doesnt work well with mixed ship types
(if the BB's are stacked, cv's often stack onesided as well, to balance out the previous shiptype)

a blitz example;
if you have a remodeled high lvl ca (or pca) your pretty certain to be with the weaker team, because you'r ship is often used to balance out the stack in capital ships (doesnt have to be in numbers, also effects with tier1 cv vs tier 2 cv etc)

If you are not up to the task of balancing out with the shiptype your in, then you could get a better crew, lvl them up on a lower tier ship, or consider what could work better ingame for the shiptype your in (play more towards tactics, play for the team)

and i still didn't get what sng stands for??

Op, if you read some of the patch notes, you will see how the auto split works.

Your theory has no evidence, no tests, no records, and the sample size is yourself and is pure speculation based on your own experience.

You just need 1 counterexample to make your claim invalid, so here it is:
Playing AA in Pensacola. Win every other game consistently for about 20 GB games in 1 sitting. SNG didnt make me win or lose consecutively.

Well I just suggest to try my method when SnG starts hating you and make you lose consecutively in the same ship

But when it gives you a 50-50 chance to win/lose..it's ok and you don't need to do anything about it

you know, I was really tempted to believe something like this myself but actually I relised it's really silly.

SnG is not clever enough to balance crew lvls so how can it know who is the "noob team". So many times it tries to balance by ship type and fails because one team ends up with "powerful" ships with at-lvl crews and new players and the other team has "weaker" ships run by champion players and wins against the odds. SnG is just... well... bad. So, starting with that assumption, it can't "know" who's noob and put you on that team.

Yeah it's frustrating when you're on a losing streak but it's great when you're winning and I say over the course of a week or so it balances. Just go with it and do your best.

Also, I usually find if my team is losing I have more opportunity to do damage, so I get better personal attack. And sometimes my team wins but I get no attack because better players just take all the kills. You can't predict everything, just play and have fun.

I see this a lot too since I don't play BBs.

This dichotomy actually makes it easier to accept losing (because I got some attack in) and easier to accept games where I didn't get a chance to contribute (because I got more XP from the win).

Is it possible that there are only three groups of players running at a time, therefore each battle you end up with roughly the same "pool" of players? Therefore, you autobalance keeps roughly giving you the same team of noobs every time. By switching ships, you are landing on the other team? Just a thought, no basis to it.

What the Op doesn't realize he's saying is, If you are grinding your way through the P Project and aren't being very successful, you can put that same crew back on a Dland and get back to being somewhat successful.

DUH?

There are some backwards patterns you will notice. For example as an AA ship, my winning games usually end up with only a handful of shoot-downs compared to a 8k loss. If enemy CV are not sending fighters for me to shoot, my team is probably winning that hemisphere.

Winning games is determined by the team with the highest attack score in before total annihilation and before flag ship shenanigans in GB2. Even in Normal mode you can win as the last ship to sink if your team did well enough.

Whether I get massive aircraft shoot-downs or just a single shell on an enemy rushing FF, I just leave when I think my team has dealt more damage and get a win (usually higher BB count).
