IJN requires you to master either AAing or battle awareness since its quite oppurtunistic at higher levels. Mainly Yammy and SY.


And USN durable ? Alaska, Guam, Sodak and NC contradict that statement, and no ship really shine as far as taking a beating goes. Colo, iowa and monty are average, in the way they can take a few hits, but never as close as an L2 does.

that says UK to me. Best armor, best damage. Acc depends on how you class but as mentionned some of the guns block easily.

SN is supposed to have decent armor and also packs strong long range guns, but they lack a lot in speed and turning and hence are considered very hard to play.

It's been said USN has balanced ships that help teach the game well, which I agree with, but I think their good speed and turning ability means they are more suited to a hit-and-run playstyle and it is generally not advisable to armor them (because it negates your speed advantage). They have good damage but this generally comes from number of guns (BB2 and BB5 notably can hold 12 guns).

Also, if you like armor stay clear of IJN. Their ships have average to low survivability and the armor may as well be paper (worst in game unless something changed when I wasn't looking?).

I would say rather than thinking in terms of damage and armour etc. think in terms of playstyle. I know it's hard if you never played NF before to decide if you like rushing, ranging etc. but maybe you have an idea of another game you played? Do you always pick the Sniper class in shooters for example? Or the Tank class in fantasy MMOs?

Where have you read that? Range damage and armor? I never saw anything close to that being written.



Turning ability isnt really greater than any other nations. MN really holds the advantage there.

AD FTW in terms of turning, you can easily grind it to 120 :D

Kaiser is terrible as it is and people using it should at least have some experience with dying horribly from playing H39 and H44.

so thats how i managed to grind trough the nelson bb with an at level crew non armored in 1 day+2 hours or so......

but anyway km is decent but it requires alot of support.... but theres a few nation inconsistencies as lets say with Uk u go from nelson etc wich has good speed or pow wich has insane speed but very low range then u go to L1 wich has low range but fast or armor till an L2 wich in my option is ineffective when armored but when non armored has 39 knts and probably 2nd best bb5 range if not 3rd best then comes the bb6 wich has 2nd lowest bb6 range and goes 40 knts or 35 knts armored

and with usn u go from iowa wich is generally balanced but very small hitbox till a montana wich can go 40 knts and has insane ammounts of firepower but worst bb5 range or 2nd worst? (was alsace buffed to over monty range?) and then till the nebby with good firepower 3rd best range and very good speed for its range-damage-ability to take a hit....

overall id suggest going usn as its the easyest one to learn different playstyles at as long as u get rid of the silly belief or w/e that armor = win as its overrated unless vs km mostly or if ur lucky that the enemy is either blind or doesnt see u

USN is harder for me to play then KM. I started with USN and do enjoy the damage of high angle guns but the ability to hit someone when you cant be hit really appeals to me. No to mention the fact that good AA means bombers and fighters stay away from you and playing when the enemy is blind is a huge advantage. :D

To me the best BB line is PPro-HH4
