Hi all,

Well today i had a terrible lag on a hop to the NavyField servers and now i just found a nice way to fix this, you can use a Your Freedom apllication with the ProxyCap Program to go trough other hops, wich means lag free,

Additional:

PEOPLE ASKED ME WILL I BE ABLE TO PLAY NF BEHIND A PROXY LIKE ON SCHOOL WITH THIS THE ANSWER = YES

To know if the lags coming from a hop use the tracert "NF Server IP" in CMD

Kayser: 211.43.149.200
Nebraska: 211.43.149.201


1: Download Your Freedom from : https://www.your-freedom.net
2: Install Your Freedom
3. When Your Freedom finished installation start the program.
4. Now hit the configuration button, and click on the button wizard, if it is the first time running your freedom on your computer it will popup directly after the installation but in your case i think you already had those parts when you tried to set it up so we need to force it to use the wizard again.

5. A window will popup with server but let it search again,

6. You can see a windows with some check-boxes now, select UDP, HTTP, HTTPS, FTP and click next, it will search for servers now.

7. The program gives each server kind of score here i get a server with a 10 what means very good, i select the server, and press next.

8. You will be back in the main windows of your freedom go to account information and write you you freedom account details there.

Then hit save and exit, and press start connection, it wil connect on a free account you get 64KBS Down and 64 KBS up, which is enough for NF.

10. leave the program running, and download proxy cap from https://www.proxycap.com/download.html.
11. Install proxy-cap and after you need to reboot so reboot.

12. After reboot start you freedom again click Connect and leave it running, navigate to the directory where Proxy Cap is installed and make a shortcut from pcapui to your desktop, on my pc the directory is C:\Program Files\Proxy Labs\ProxyCap

13. Open Proxycap, now go to proxies and create a new proxy, 

Display Name: Your Freedom
Type: SOCK5
Hostname: localhost
port: 1080

The others are not needed so press OK.


14. Now go to rulles and add a new rulle, 

Name: Navyfield<

If proxycap is enabled and you start NF and you see Yellow lines popping up en down means it's working, if you still got lag you can always select a other server in Your Freedom and try again BUT!!!:.

Can you open a CMD and do a tracert for me? and send the output here.
We need to be sure the lag is not coming from your network/ISP.


well they works well, and seems get rid of lag here, but i have to disconnect NF and reconnect NF in every 60mins? since once the your freedom disconnected, the NF automatically disconnect :D and solution with this ?


You need to get voucher codes for the program our just buy membership, then it will be gone your freedom is not to expensive and you can use it whatever program you want on it. i also searched for free methods, however free services are very slow:(

Question #1, Will it work if you only run 1 of the programs; to reduce hard drive, RAM, CPU usage, and any security risks? Or do you need both programs for the lowest lag or for it to work at all? Did you test that?

Question #2, How can I tell if I even go through a proxy server by my tracert? Because on hops 1 - 8 (from Philippines to Singapore), it just lists the delays of 1 - 60 ms then lists the IP only (no names).

But for hops 9 - 10 it lists either:
9..... 237 ms 238 ms 238 ms so-2-0-3-0.plapx-cr3.ix.singtel.com [203.208.149.58]
10..... 305 ms 264 ms 252 ms ge-0-0-0-0.plapx-dr1.ix.singtel.com [203.208.149.1]
or just
9...... 237 ms 219 ms 269 ms so-2-0-0-3.sngtp-cr1.ix.singtel.com [203.208.149.202]

then hops 11 - 15 are all in California USA to NF Server with delays of like 236 - 260 ms.

Question #3, Is there any other way (that is also free) to by-pass / re-route around Singapore if that is my main lag point?

Question 1: You will need to run Your Freedom, and proxycap don't worry about RAM and CPU for those programs it should not be to high.

Question 2: Did you run tracert trough te proxy? i didn't was able to do a tracer trough the proxy but, once you play the game you should directly notice it, if you still encounter problems just try a other server.

Question 3: There might be services that may be free however i didn't found a good one like Your Freedom, Your Freedom is a very good network and with a basic account it should work without nay problems, however you might try to search on google.

Also i think with delays of like 236 - 260 ms that would give lag or at-least spikes/input lag.

Please not the limit in a week is * 1 hour continuously, up to 6 hours in any 24 hour interval, up to 15 hours in any week interval

I know a guy who uses a proxy service as a front for his packet sniffer.. he collects username/passwds. Yes, it is very possible because your 'net traffic goes thru 'em servers.

Be very wary of proxy usage.

Please note: Due the server lag problems also Your Freedom will have lag!.
