Anybody got one?  Do you like it and what are its strengths/weaknesses?  I'm thinking a PBB would be more useful, but haven't really seen the Borodino in action.

However, since it has only 4 barrels firing per volley, the odds of hitting a target are low, and the damage output per second of in-range battle is low too, even if individually each shell hits fairly hard.

globally a PBB is much more useful, specially the sevastopol that is also relatively difficult to hit, the PBB will also hit much more often with its 12 shells.

which beggars the question :

... ? How do the Borodino and Seva do with Auto-FCS ... ie: how bad is the spread penalty ? ..
..... can we get an idea of the benchmark gun performance ? .. for avg 11+ at-lvl gunners non-BVE . ? ..
....... ( ahem - can we please NOT snicker at the idea of 11+ non-BVE at-lvl gunners using auto ?? ) . . .

altho i now begin to wonder if borodino's size means semi-blocks in auto without crossing since close together

help the nubo-coin-rich decide which ship would be better use .. or .. more fun ... or .. whats what whatever ..

how do they match up ?? : ....SN SEVA -vs- BORODINO ....
.. ( assume >> .. at-lvl non-BVE avg 11+ gunners..) ..

or as the OP said it : ...

From the ship info, it looks like the Borodino's guns have pretty high shell damage,
but there are only two main turrets.

I'll probably get the Sevastopol since a PBB will be much more useful for leveling as well as more competitive.

... anyone ? ... bueller ?? ..

I will overlook the point that actually using auto in BB gun battles is like a crime against humanity ans will suppose someone use it.

On borodino, i suspect the spread will be terrible. Its not excellent with EBVE gunners and aiming FCS, so it'll be way worse with auto and +11 non-BVE (talking at-level, but i think that anyways you cant blockshot with those guns' GunRev , whatever the level).

If you match up a sevastopol and a borodino both having crap accuracy, then definately and without any doubt the sevastopol is better. it has more DP, much more shells/volley that increase the hit chance and at least the same range i believe.

The borodino might be small and hard to hit, but against shotgun-style shots, it'll still be hit.

If you dont have a BVE crew that are at least +11 base the Borodino will suck so hard you will not use it. If you are just trying to level you want the savest.
Savest
4 - 3X12" bb2.5 range
7 support slots (same as BB4)
Base speed is 24 i beleive with a fat crew
Boro
2 - 2X12" BB3 range
6 support slots (same as BB3)
base speed with a fat crew is 22-23
hope that clarifies the differences
