  • Depressingly true Different Nation Guide to NF

    02. 11. 2012 05:49

Sonlirain
So... currently we have 6 different nations (7 when Italy finally arrives) all coming with different streanghts and weaknesses.

Let's start with the BB5s because that's where the endgame is at (something everyone will get to faster than they think).

IJN Super Yamato - Very fast for a BB5 (42).
Somewhat average range (outranges France and USA)
Good damage
Best AA batteries in the game (full 360 deg of coverage and long range).

France Alsace - Also very fast for a BB5 (42).
Made for rushing...
Strangely while the mN BB4 has one of the better ranges in it's tier the BB5 has the least. Why?
Noone knows. (funfact. Rehor stopped reading here)
Oh and MN aa has the best range in the game... I WONDER WHY?

USN Monty - Can oneshot every ship below BB6 tier.
This is considered fair and balanced.
Strangely enough it even deals more damage then the USN BB6.

RN Lion2 - Because giving all those perks to any one ship was a good idea:
A small hitbox.
Very good range (thrid best just behind the squishy high "range" nations)
Better submergeance than everyone else
Ability to AW

And no having "average damage" is not enough to balance it out.

SN Soyuz - One of the so called range nations.
You get a tiny bit more range in exchange for crippling disabilities.
In this case being the slowest ship in it's tier (unless a AW L2 comes around).
SN guns have the luck of both having "high" range and high angle (45) guns.
This means a long hangtime to let enemies get out of the way long before they hit.
As a bonus if you actually do manage to hit something at high angle the shells have good armor penetration.

KM H44 - The cream of the crop!
The BB5 that has BB3 damage.
Utterly unreliable shells (in fact you can rely on them being totally F&$%@&# unreliable).
As a bonus it's also slow large and fragile at the same time.
Oh and KM has decent AA.

Oh that's the BBs.

Now unto the CVs... those are kinda straightforward.

USN - Mary Sue fighters
As a bonus All of their planes with the exeption of the T4 FPs and T2 TBs LOOK ALL THE SAME.
They have decent TBs and the colors make it hard to tell the differnece between their DBs and fighters at first glance unless you can see minimal differencess in shades of blue and memorise them all.

KM - The former fighter Mary Sues.
Despite being nerfed (or more precisely USN being buffed beyond human comprehension) their fighters still stand their ground.
They have the second worst TBs in the game (but their tier 1 TB seems to share it's sprite with their T1 fighter)
They also have one of the better DBs so use them instead of the TBs.

MN - The ones who got copypasta'd straight from Korea.
They used to have fighters with less fuel than locals and the best bombers in the entire game.
Currently they are more or less in the middle of everything with slightely better fighters than most.
Oh nad they get their bombers sooner than most.

SN - Consistency is for the weak.
Their T1-T3 fighters are the slowest in the game while the T4 out of the blue becomes the second fastest plane inthe game.
They have TERRIBLE TBs but good DBs.
T4 fighter aside SN aircraft seem to be the slower sort.

IJN - DRRRRAAAAAAAAAAGGGGG
The break your mouse or lose nation... at least as long we talk about managing fighters.
Enemy fighters appear? Drag away.
Dragging is the answer to EVERYTHING.
They have advantage of having the highest speed in the game (meaning they tie with USN because USN would not be a mary sue if someone was better than them at anything.)

RN - Just kill yourself.
RN used to have very good and durable fighters with high armor.
Not any longer!
The armor got stripped.
Fighter stats are now counted differently.
And here we have RN falling from the peak of it's power straight into a septic tank just to be sealed away in shame.
MN were supposed to be average at everything and guess what? Their fighters all have better stats then RN fighters of the same tier.
So have fun with those suckers.

Oh and their TBs are currently the most damaging and hard to spot in the game.
(Unless you mod the sprites because you like to act like a abusive elitist arse).

Here you go i hope the guide was informative enough.

This statement is false.
Montana has no disadvantages.

This is a 1.00% serious guide.

just a note i have
IJN, USN, KM and MN bb5 (and even Kaiser so u can trust me about H44 [achieved that before GB2 was released])

May I ask, WHY DOES THE L2 HAS THE SECOND BEST RANGE AFTER H44? Isn't it enough to have the best armor, great submergence and on top of that one of the best, if not straight out the best repairers available? I believe the L2 should be nerfed a little bit, or at least to give it range that is in the middle-low end of the range scale. :c

On another page, I can [Forcibly introduce my shells into] an alsace with my H39 because of the range advantage. As Ronnald would say, I´m lovin' it!.

P.S: Replace the words in the brackets for something a little bit more unnapropiate for the forums, one clue is that the word begins with R and ends with ape.

This so called "guide" is a complete joke and vary laughable... half of the information is wrong, or it doesnt tell the full story.

As for the L2, it does NOT have the second best range as some of you may believe. The montana out ranges it by a little, and at that the SY should out range the L2. (I don't have an SY, and havent tested it vs other BB5s, so I cant say anything about it's range vs other BB5s)

Its all about how the ship is played. You may think the L2 has more range, but it doesnt. The people playing it just know how to use it.. and your usually catching their shells. Thats why it APPEARS that the L2 has the 2nd best range. Also, for the L2, the players usually rush! Thats another reason why it seems like it has more range.

As for the H44, if you know how to use it, you can own in it. Sure it throws pillows, but if you know how to use its range and can see, you win. Another note, the H39 has the same range as the montana. (This, me and my fleet mates tested one day. During that test, the monthy showed to have more range then the L2 aswell)

So my suggestion is to test this shit out before going on about it. Oh.. and you have to take in factor the noob play in those BB5s.. and what I mean by that is, you have to take in to count how noobs use the ships and how they dont know how to use them to the best of their abilities.
