Thanks for the email informing me of the race to italy,it only came 5 days too late. and italy has been signed off by the test team? yet some are here saying it is op and will need patching. that sounds like it is signed off. but the important point here is the utter failure and lack of planning, you have pissed everyone off who got that email too late and wanted to take part.
anyway congrats on digging this games hole a little deeper.

if you checked this site once every other week you would have known this event was going to happen. As you are probably more active than I am as I only sign into play once in a blue moon but still check this forum on a regular basis as this is where all news regarding this game is first released.

So don't blame sde for this one, only one to blame here is your self. If this game is that much of a concern for you that you are P O'd  you didn't know about said event maybe check in to nf.com more often.

SDE does not care, If your really mad  that you didnt get a email about an event you can read on the forum or on your fleet website shame on you!


Ok let me spell it out for you as you seem to need a little more help with this.

A player has left navyfield, this is bad, SDE need to try and bring him back to repopulate the server that is not doing so great. So they have a nice event, lets call it the race to italy or something, for this you need to play everyday for 29 days, great nice and simple easy to do great.

Now said player who had left gets email saying look at great event ecv blah blah ... that sounds good I'm going to come back to navyfield and start playing again. They come back only to find ecv event has failed for them as it started 5 days before they recieved an email telling them about it. Said player laughs at ineptitude and never returns again.

Now if that player who has no fleet and has not been playing NF was supposed to read his fleets website I feel very sorry for him and any old nf player who may want to return. Howerver why would they want to return to a game with players who can't understand the simple fact a person not playing the game not going to the website will NOT be reading the website and/or their non existant fleet site and will be a little pissed off if they recieve an email with info on a great event that started (and therefore ended) for them 5 days before said email.

I'm sure I've written too many words for you to understand so I'm sorry for wasting those peoples time that can read as I'm sure you all understood my point anyway.



Let me check if SDE cares . . . . Nope they still dont care...

if you guys would have been takin advantge of the free olives you guys wouldnt have a problem, cause you would have seen the event 5-8 days prior tward ecv event. srry im siding sde on this topic........

Jesus christ is everyone really that thick. This event and italy was planned to bring people back, to make the server I play and that is distinctly lacking people a bit busier. I was just making the point that SDE should have planned sending out a newsletter to ensure players could play in the event promoted in the newsletter, as it was sent 5 days after the race to italy had started.

All I can say is I really am moving towards Elliot's view of the navyfield player base.

Wow there really is nothing going on up there is there? IF YOU DO NOT PLAY NF, YOU DO NOT DESERVE THE EVENT, if you do play NF, check the site. Either way your in the wrong :)

Genius, that will get the players who have left playing again. Just go and play missions on your own as you obviously shouldn't be around other people.

Or how about I say it like this. IF AN EVENT IS SUPPOSED TO BRING PEOPLE BACK TO THE GAME TELL THEM BEFORE YOU START THE EVENT.

And great, lets never let anyone come back to the game, you can only play if you are playing now. That will work as a business plan, are you emplyed by SDE?

And, just so everyone knows, this is nothing about me, I couldn't care less about ECVs you can see that from my previous post about them. My concern is a dying game that is not being managed well. Obviously everyone here is totally self centered and thinks that I am moaning because I missed the event. I'm not, I'm moaning that SDE have not managed or planned this out and could have conducted this in a way to improve server population a lot more than it will.

He makes a good point.  A person on the fence may have been brought back by this.  At the very least, it does more harm than good to have the email go out after the event has started.
