  • 18inch duals and AP

Just have a question. Do i have to bother with AP when using the 18inch duals for monty? Just fought a QV which was cruising 37knots and was still piercing it at 36degrees with HE.

Actaully all of it I would agree with, aingeal...but I added the disclaimer because I did not want to outright agree with you being the lower tier BBs need to learn to use AP or carry a bind just in case. ;-) <3

Yeah. My statement only worka with the 18"tough. AP-less 16" is asking an AW to rape you :)


And USN armor isn't UK armor.

Actually a two gunned monty can bounce a full QV salvo at Max, a kaiser salvo at near or at max (wasn't tested fully), Amagi and nebby are the only two that can fully pierce the armor at MA for bb6's. BB5's i've bounced a full monty salvo at 44 degrees, 45 near cripples you but doesn't 1 shot due to the armor values, L2's are fun to face with the AW set up they bounce at around 42 to 20 i think it is, the yami bounces at 40 and below, the h44 eh...max angle bounce.


Problem is the h44 is going to switch to AP and sling your slow monty. QV will hit your belt quite fast. Overall not worth the lost of speed and half your firepower.
