  • how much longer will SDE keep kaiser server going?

    03. 29. 2012 10:36

200% boost exp event did't change situation in Kaiser. This is how it looks now in kaiser:

And this is how's Nebraska going same date and time

sSo dear SDE, mods, official and anybody else in power to be a man and make a decision:

SHOT DOWN KAISER, TRANSFER ALL ACTIVE ACCOUNTS TO NEBRASKA AND ALLOW DYING KAISER POPULATION TO PLAY IN NORMAL TERMS!!!

I play NF for a few years, I do have a lot of patiience, but when I talk to my friends from Kaiser, who are able to play 10-15 games per hour, while I cannot play more than 6 (7-10 minutes waiting for each battle) I get pissed.

I do not understand, why SDE keeps paying for server which brings only problems while they could extend nebraska to hold 2 or 3 times bigger traffic? For me there's no logic in decisions made by SDE.

Please, start thinking about it before 99% of Kaiser players quit NF due to this horror.

I suggest, transfering accounts under level 60 and closing registrations to nebraska. Increase experience in kaiser server only until population come back to normal.

Given that they upgraded the servers, that shouldn't be an issue.

They tried increasing the experience; It didn't work.

I have my doubts about this. I cant imagine if servers will be able to hold 1,000 players or more or even this , being able to play smoothly without worriyng about the super lags. ( event time ) thats the least number i can think off, considering that normally there is between 200 or 300 players aproximately without event. My calculation for server merge : aproximately : 500 to 650 players normally without event. If servers are able to hold this, then its fine.

People really need to do a search for "server merge" for things relating to Kaiser.

And to ask themselves, "if it's that simple, then why aren't they doing it?"

If the servers could handle that many people, they would have done it by now. Increasing the limit cap is like increasing the number of seats in your car... If you want to fit more people, you need a new car.

One server would be nice, though im worried players might see it as "the game is drying the game is dying we're down from 4 to 1 in just over a year".

They easily can. The only issue would be if there was a hard cap in the server code.

It won't be an issue of hardware, unless they "upgraded" to stupidly old equipment.

What that they realy need to do is make more effort to market the game. Look at the sucess that advertising *** on facebook has had for the cost of a cheap advert and that's just one method.

IMO they should keep both servers but try to encourage the growth of Kaiser ahead of Nebby.

To do this they could close new admission to Nebby, or simply change the home screen to encourage new players to join Kaiser (like a recomended server for new players statement)

They could have a significant increased XP event for Kaiser ONLY along with free drops and a one off free transfer for players moving from Nebby to Kaiser (but not the other way around) and a paid transfer facility open to all players moving in both directions. This way it might encourage some Nebby players to move to Kaiser for a "Holiday" to take advantage of the free drops/increased XP and move back when they wish.

- This would hopefully encourage some players to move for a limited time (and perhaps some might like it and stay) or make new crews on Kaiser to take advantage of the drops.... which could then be used on Nebby if they wish.

In hindsight what they could have tried was to release the Italian navy on Kaiser ONLY for the first 3/6 months with the idea being that returning players might move to Kaiser to try the new nation.

Anyhow no doubt they will just ignore anything said but theres a few ideas.

Yes, I like the idea of a crew transfer (make sure it includes the BO) would be a positive move. As looking from a players point of view, its very demoralising to start a new crew on another server. That is why I personally have not started a Nebraska based crew  (in my case) and enjoy the bigger crowd. However, if I had a ready made crew which I have ground previously and have it transferred (as I may have another crew on my current server for example), this would encourage players like me to grind on another server (as now the player would have a good crew to grind from or power level from AND NOT START FROM SCRATCH).

Or just have the option to transfer the BO (1 free transfer, subsequent transfer paid service), and have him purchase or transfer a crew (via prem trade if it returns). This can be made either direction or in only one direction (e.g Nebby to Keiser) or free in direction, paid in the other direction.

From a commercial point of view it would be great for NF, as now that account would likely spend more on consumables for  both servers now.

This is a win win for all I think.

I believe Randy took on board my suggestion a while ago:-

http://fm.en.kupaisky.com/Community/Forum/View.aspx?num=6828&category=D02&page1=1

and has put facebook ad's on. He posted this in a thread a few days ago.

Putting a nation on Kaiser only would have completely killed Nebraska. There is no point whatsoever in doing that.

Exp events have been tried on Kaiser only. They didn't work. Closing new admission to Nebby punishes players that want to play with people they know on Nebby.

The best thing would be a merger.

As a player, you cannot put in a request to move accounts from Kaiser?  That is completely stupid.
