Dislike? Not particulary too much. I just guess i would have to make 3 different stupid threads saying the same in 3 different subsections for having more "credibility".
South doesn't win battles, certainly south win more than 50% of the battles but is not autowin, many times people are so, so, so pro that all go south. Everybody likes to think they are pro and pro people go south. All the higher BBs go south and left the north just with pbb/bb123, just one high tier BB in north wins the battle, not only win, win making amazing amounts of damage.
What wins the battle is a balanced BB line and that implies north and south. And this is truth in "newbie" game modes like in GBs or even in "pro" games like the ARA vs RA HA 2 weeks ago, 2 of the biggest and best HA fleets, where ARA won because RA left their north vulnerable and rusheable.
Typical situation. 3 BB5s each team. All in the enemy team go south, because they are "pro" and my team all are pro and go south then. If i'm one of those BB5 certainly instead thinking "south wins battles, im pro, i have to go south" i will making something called "thinking by myself" and will go north.
Another situation 2 vs 2 BB6s, in the enemy team both go south, in my i leave the other one in south and i go north. "Oh a BB6 north, what a noob, BLASPHEMY!", i have heard those comments sometimes, do you think i care? In those situations battle is won like 90% of the times, and you know, North won it.
But if the point of view of some works with absolute truths/dogmas like "South wins battles", "It's always CVs fault" or "loading more than 6 planes on a squad is always stupid" i would say that people should have a wider point of view if they want to improve in the game some day instead basing his knowledge in things "set in stone".

EDIT=>
In fact i've read the entire thread and nice too see there are people who think by themselves.

Too much focus south can lead to blowouts if it doesn't lead to the enemy line collapsing in short order.
