The thing that I don't care for is the new AD, that hits harder than the BB6, and penetrates better than most ships in the game with low gun angles. That needs a fix for sure.
The issue is the gun system is bugged. Sure, having 25 degree angled BB's is nice as a concept, but there are too many bugs with them. Their armour penetration is poor (which is fine for HE), but the AP would remain terrible and not work. So SDE's solution is to give the guns stats so that both HE and AP at low angle and low calibre smash through armour; like no other gun in the game.
So now we have 3 nations that overall smash through armour at max (IJN, RM, SN).
Now, Italy were
supposed to have a lower angle, as well as average range, average/low (above KM) damage, but a reload and turning advantage; but weak against armour (to join
You then fit things like submergence, DP when you see hitbox, among other stats.
Richard found out about this a while ago, it was told about and SDE couldn't be bothered to fix it. Because they want everyone to complain about it being overpowered so that people buy crews.
