  • Duty To Retreat - You must run from trouble or else

Hello kiddies! How does that title grab ya?

This is actually the law in many states in the Obamanation. So why should this stuff be in a NavyField forum? After all, this is a game, not a political mix up,.... right? Well, let's examine this a minute since after we are done "playing" NavyField, we may go outside and do something in Real Life that causes us to interact with other people.

In the related  People V. Zimmerman thread, we see that trouble can easily flare country-wide when a localized event occurs. We also see that the primary antagonists are mainly of a specific race or ethnicity. This un-natural social behavior was very rare in occurance before 1990 yet as of the last 10 years or so what we see in the Zimmerman thread actually occurs quite frequently.

I currently reside in a state that has the "Duty to Retreat" clause amended in to criminal statutes. This is very troublesome for me because if I am attacked, it is my "Duty to Retreat" first. In my state the law favors the attacker.
You see, if I fight back and injure or otherwise incapacitate my attacker, I can be sued by the (attacker) victim or jailed because I did not try to "Retreat" first.

The "Duty to Retreat" protects the attacker from his target's reciprocal actions, thereby insuring that the one who initiated the encounter is given protection by the law to further sue his/her victim(s) in a court of law to receive compensation for damages incurred in the said encounter.

Nice, eh?

If you are slow, overweight, disabled, physically limited or challenged, .... sorry Charlie. The law applies to you too.

Many states (not all) have the "Duty to Retreat" in their criminal codes (laws and statutes) and legally intrepret "Duty to Retreat" as just as it is worded no matter the target's actual physical condition.

In other words,.... for example, a physicallv fit black fellow with the intent to deprive a physically challenged white driver from his vehicle can attack and injure the white driver, yet if the physically challenged white driver carries a firearm for self protection and disables or kills his attacker, then the attacker or the family of the attacker can sue the physically challenged white driver for damages, and bring up the race card for justification to seek damages, outside of the fact that the white driver was targeted in the first place.

Kinda cool way to get something eh? If you don't succeed in the initial attack, just sue your victim!

Some states saw this used in practice many times and along with other examples of how criminals were exploiting the "Duty to Retreat" enacted the "Stand Your Ground" amendments of those state's criminal codes.

Here is a current list of states where the law favors the victim instead of the attacker, click on the link.

The bottom line is that "Duty to Retreat" favors the Attacker.
"Stand Your Ground" favors (the victim) those who are attacked in their daily duties or life in general.

In my state, many concerned citizens such as myself sought to have our state legislature to consider and pass into law a "Stand Your Ground" clause to deprive attackers of their protection under the law to further damage and harass their target.

Members of the NAACP, ACORN, LULAC, LaRaza and other ethnic-based groups complained bitterly and was given voice nationally and statewide (newspapers and radio and television) to condemn our [law abiding citizens] efforts to remove the legal protection attackers  enjoyed when they chose to act upon their distructive whims.

NAACP member Eric Holder has nationally denounced "Stand Your Ground" from his platform as the Chief law enforcement officer of the Obamanation. [The U.S. Attorney General's Office has that title as it is the head of domestic law enforcement agencies] Unfortunately due to the Zimmerman trial fall-out, domestic law in the Obamanation will deteriorate further if Eric Holder has his way.

This is a heads-up to oncoming changes of state laws in the Obamanation which will harshly impact those of fair skin the most with current anti-discrimination laws in place.

There will be no place to run, no place to hide.

Due to SoCal's gang violence, among other things, Stand your ground would be appreciated, yet, we have the Duty to Retreat enacted. I'm not sure how things are in North or Centeral California.

Duty to Retreat is a statewide application of criminal statutes and codes.

In your case it is statewide.

You see, with Duty to Retreat and anti-discrimination legislation in place,.... concerned citizens can clearly see a problem. However, according to mixed-race (or multiple-ethinicity) U.S. Attorney General Eric Holder in regard to Florida 'Stand your Ground', "These laws try to fix something that was never broken".

Eric Holder plays the race card frequently in favor of the mixed-race/multicultural agenda, but without the civilized aspect of following the rule of law.

As far as he is concerned, any law will be made to fit his whim on how it should be applied. This has lead to serious problems though.

What we are currently seeing is the actual breakdown from the top of civilized society's idea of law and order.

Although the subject matter may be uncomfortable for some, the facts do not lie and those occupying the seat of authority are using those platforms to further ruin the old United States. Just today, one of the crowning jewels of diversity - the city of Detroit Michigan, declared Bankruptcy.

The cost of Diversity is ruinous. It cannot be sustained by hopes and dreams or elected and appointed officials that have no business in the driver's seat. At some point common sense will be applied,..... but don't hold yer breath waiting.
