This is narrow minded. All steps in life start somewhere. We are far from the first to make moves in this direction and we should not be the last.
We have a huge advantage over many countries with the volume of sun we get. The biggest supply of natural energy in this vicinty of space, and we waste most of it....

It should read, "Global warming is not a myth; it has been around for thousands of years. What scientists are unsure of is the level of impact humans are having on the rate of global warming."
