1 TB is ok. but lvl him up! more then 50 should be!
so a jap tb is a good thing...
others should be DBs. they are easy to use und hit!

Right now you have a perfect amount of pilots for Hosho/Junyo. I would suggest having a
torp bomber in training because once he reaches ~lv50 he will start becoming useful.

As far as which cv line to take, it depends on what you like more.

Grinding for a quality CV with many levels in between each ship (Junyo line)
Or having many ships to choose from with manageable level gaps in between (hosho line)

so far everybody i know who has a junyo is happy with it, and going that line means you
will be unique since not many people go for junyo :P

But beware if you take junyo line you will may get tired and bored of grinding..

You should probaly use atleast 2 db and 2 fighters. You also can decide on a Hosho
CV line or Junyo line.

Don't take TB!!!IJN tbs suck and the max damage for the lvl 39 tbs is around 4k
damage per torp if the tbs can get close enough 2 accurately torp without being
shot down!!! your better off with another fighter or a rookie pilot to find good
targets for ur dbs

I say 3 DB 2 Fighter is good for Hosho.

For Ryujo, get 4 DB 2 fighter or 3db/3f

For Hiryu, 3db/3f as you will be a very prime target for CVs so you'd want some good
protection up at all times

Then 4db/3f or 3db/3f/1tb
