  • B65 Project best way to use it

When I reach lvl 63 I run to buy the Premium BB and then I was a little disapointment...
For the first time a got a good range of fire but this ship has a lot of bad thinks... So
what do you think is the best way to use this ship? I saw I can put here 16.1 " guns and
also some torps.... =P

this ship is only good for leeching
the default 12.2 is a joke as it lack of stopping power
not to mention the 45' hang time is terrible for aiming even my mom can dodge it

i found out 2R of 16.1D nelly style out perform the default 3R gun setting big time.
one day in b65 i was rushed by a dunker and have absolutely no chance, next game i changed
to 2R setting and brought the nelly game back to him, in several salvos i got my
vengence. Another game i rushed a L2 push him around and punched him to yellow DP,
although i was sunk but he was picked up by teammates and we actually won that game.

Although i find out a setting that works but I still dont think b65 worth the money.
Leeching style is the best way to play as you cant take heads on any decent bb2+.
AA and AA and AA and pick up some small ships, build up your attack and defend. Do not
hope for CV blind enemy BB5s and you go for your big kill, coz b4 you reach them foods are
already bagged up by ur team's bb4+s.

Good AA gunners is the only way it's good.

I had a few fun games using the 16.1d's with HHE. Run around pretending you're a
AAW and just shoot at everything. Try to blind the enemy. If your team starts dieing try
to hide and keep them blind. Then get in range for some devastating damage.

Hell, I just found a ALPHA testing game not too long ago...Oh god the lag! (the game
lags and crashes at least double NF's if not more)

And half of the in game items don't do anything...yet...(collision isnt in effect yet...server
crashes daily...etc)

I know I'm going off topic :P

^true story, this coming from someone who actually did grind to a bb1.

Moral of the story, don't grind beta games, just play enough so you'll know what to
do to finish the starting levels fast and get out of the crowds of noobs.

peg, at current XP rates you'll have a BB5 before you have a BB1 in beta.

Khairy, is that some kind of necro-satire?

Your setup is so wrong in so many ways that you are sure to be a liability to your team
since you will take up 1 of the bb slots. It must be a joke, right?

The B65 is weak to begin with and by using the completely wrong crew you make a bad
ship worse.

I'm sure that you are joking around so I won't be lured into replying.

well i just got my B65 2 day ago, and its kinda hard for me to play it *since im auto
FCS aim* but i learning to go manual atm try shoot down some plane and DD sub or
anything that come in range,

My B65 Setup:
BO lv63 (Bosted - im new so din't know at 1st wat are prem sailor for)
main gunner (lv63) x2
2nd Engineer lv 67 x1
2nd Repair lv 62 x2

other (Mainly for lvl up crew):
Spec Tropsman lv 63 x2
planes man lv50 x1
sonarman lv49 x1
AA gunner lv 23 x2
seaman lv 23 x2

and yeah i know my B65 crew are mess up... im trying to get 2 more repairman and
2 more engine guy still grinding them out.

My Naggy's spread is very good~ (11/11 VE lvl 90)
it is even better than my H39 or Bissy (12/10 VE lvl 105)

The B65 Project is a paper ship... like all IJN ships, it cant take a beating like other
nations. If your gunners are "useable" (meaning BVE and good base), then spread
at-level will be workable and would be a good ship to level with, rather than using
Kongo to get to Ise/Fuso. However if your gunners are garbage, then dont expect to
hit much, since spread will be quite nasty at lower levels. As for OH, we're talking
about IJN, the nation that gets crapped out engy stats. So if you dont have about 4
or 5 engys, then sucks to be you (dont expect to OH for too long).

Advantages of the B65 at higher levels will be:
---Swiftness of the ship (with good engys and high lvl, the ship will run 40-45kts... i
have seen 47kts)
---AA capability (carries IJN's famous dual 4.7" AA guns, oh and remember to level ur
AA gunners properly... recommend keeping as arm sailors til around 65)
---Mini sized Yammy: (plays exactly how a yammy would play. Pick your targets
wisely and dont think you can take on BB4/5s easily. Hit and Run tactic is best when
using a B65)
---IJN's Hangtime Advantage: (45* angles... some people can't get used to it, but it
is quite useful. The objective is to shoot and let your enemies run into them [while
pulling back ofc]. You could rush, but since its a pbb that isn't quite powerful, you
better hope that your enemies are blind.
---For giggles: (it can carry torp launchers with 1 wave of torp for each launcher... its
funny to do but i'd recommend sticking to AA guns)

In summary: Use your dang AAs and blind them, then rush in and shoot if you can.
Pull back and let them chase you, while you shoot at them. Use the hangtime to
your advantage. Be patient and wait if you have to, B65 will become better later on.
Oh and remember to have at least 4 engy (recommendation from a guy who learned
the hard way)
