i dont ignor the dd's if there close anuf on my way thru becouse they carry hedgehogs and

the best ss I see go in, attack then come back out to recover air, and do that over
and over. watch your air supply and make every shot count. and knowing where the
enemy is will make your attack that much easier. also, smoke bomb helps but that's
a given. speed mang!

and experts fast and "safe" get Emden and do AA. Then when u will get ur ss3 take good
engy, urs 100-vetted torpmans, sonarman, planesman and keep going south, south, south,
south... and one more time SOUTH (on each battle). There hunt a bb4/bb5 and enjoy KM ss ;)"

I am sorry, but the Emden is the WORST ship to try and grind from 48-59, too far away for
you to get any experience worth keeping. SS2's, don't rush middle, you probably don't have
enough SD to take a few TW torps, and SS2's really can't take but 1 hit from a BB, and if
you hit them right, it's over, best advice I can give you, stay away from any ships that
have sonar, (CL/DD/FF) and ships that carry HedgeHogs. North/South routes are your best
oppertunity, Because DD's don't want to sit out in front of the BB's and die, so you will
get atleast 4 torps in on the BB before you get shot at.

SS 1 and 2 is just to get the feel for driving a sub. Getting the feel for which drivers
are targeting primarily subs, or surface ships. Practicing crash diving when you see
someone throwing 1 bajillion HHs at you. Laughing when some cv thinks he can db
you, etc...

You'll suffer sure, but follow the advice in this thread and you'll be rewarded with KM
SS3 before you know it.

I found in my SS3 and 4 (1 and 2 not so much) that my team would win way more
often when I went way south - staying behind friendly lines to where the bb5s and
6s hang out, and then OH almost all the way to the enemy lines.

Since your KM sub will have a super-duper KM engy (and at least one repairer), you'll
be able to survive BBs frantically trying to hit you as they turn and flee in terror.
Once your HP gets into the yellow, dive and continue the pursuit. You'll always have
a few dds, cls, and overconfident BB drivers who neglect the fact that KM torps pump
proxy face.

Simply punish these people with many a salvo of 20k apiece torps, and continue to
chase the entire south side back to the border of the map. A good engy, repairer,
and planesman is key here. Even if you don't get that much personal attack, your
team's south side will be inspired by your valour and tenacity, and will able to
continue your heroic push. Thus winning the game.

And it will all have been thanks to you and your glorious SS.

Hi, first do not listen the guys that say to you ignore the DDs, they are in the GB2 to
hunt you down! if not you can get attacked by HH thanks to the sight of a DD.
you should do a hit and run strategy hunting only the first line of BB, CA, DD and CL you
will cause panic and that help a loot to your team...but remember, if you are invisible
better! and surface if some DD deep charge near you....

With an SS1 or SS2, if there are several subs on the other team, you can focus on
fleet defense instead of going offensive. You'll be able to spot the subs for your
team and, with KM proximity torps, you can be a little more effective as a hunter
killer.

overheating near a BB won't reveal you, so OH away! also note, subs detect other
subs reguardless of speed, and seeing that you're KM sub, kill them before they kill
you!
