  • Tsukikei VS Agano

I was wondering, should I go for the Agano or hold on to my Tsukikei until I can get
Oyodo?

I'm surrently using a Tsukikei. I have the Bridge Operater for an Agano, but I can't
afford it. I do plan to save up credits for it though.

I understand that the Agano is considered to be weaker than the Tsukikei in terms
of killing power, but I wanted to find out if therer were other factors, e.g. possibly
faster credit farming, speed, overall usefulness to team.

From what I've read in the early ship guide, the Agano's strength is in its scout
planes long range supportive fire and torpedos.

Can those with past experience regarding this please advise me?

I liked the agano, especialy with the 7.9 duals...but with that hobbit thing we have
now i think is gonna be hard to usse the agano, since u should always keep your
distance from other ships...but it's a good training for the best cl in the game, the

It depends on what you like.

Blitz pwnage with the Tsukikei.

or GB2 support with Agano.

By the time you get the oyodo, it wouldn't matter anyway.

Well the ango to me suffers from "At level Desisese" witch means its a good ship but at the lvl
you get it not so much however you will get more XP in a CL then DD. This also depands on
playing style a CL has more range and usually stronger hitting power however the Tsuki with
the 5.50" can deal some good damage to ca's and below to me its a matter of what you like, if
your going to use oyodo you'll need Agano if not it is skipable but it is recomended to play
mianly to get used to the 6.10" trips as they are still the better guns to use on the Mogami in
blitz at least.

Playing the Agano is part of the hazing that all IJN players should endure on their very
very long journey to the Yammy. It is painful but doesn't really last that long.

Alternatively you could get a Yubari and play it has a sub hunter in GB2 games. You'll
get lots of credits via GB2 shared experience.

agano with the 7.9 is a really good cl for its level, the problem is you need a rather
high level BO to spot the shells and rather high level gunners to get usable spread.

Agano is a very good cl, way better than everyone claims it to be in my opinion. When ur
more "at level" with your crew i would suggest you stick to the 6" trippels.

Actually, looking at the past Yubari threads, I might want to go for it but lose the
torpedos to create a fast hit-and-run CL. Still kinda dissapointing that the triples
cannot be fitted on but the 5.5" guns still rock.

That would be the thumbnail version. If you really want the extra crew slot and scouts,
the Yubari might be a less frustrating choice. (And it doubles as a semi-capable AA boat)

stick with tsukikei

- Agano is for long-range battles. however, whatever guns you put in the Agano they will
have a bad spread, and that couppled with shell dmg only a bit superior to the tsukikei,
means you'll have hard time to actually make any dmg

- Agano isnt suited for short battles, for the fact that its fragile, and it gets easily
killed. Besides, if you want short battles its best to stick with tsukikei, since its guns
rld faster, will have superior dmg output, specially because it will have a tight spread,
and will be faster

- credit gain, might be the same, dunno atm. even if its small, it wont make any
difference at all, unless you wanna go CV

I remember using my Agano as TW and small gun support ship. Like already said, you'll have
to remodel it anyway, the XP/cred gain is better and IMO the Tsuki sucks.

You're going to do more damage, and overall have more fun in the Tsukikei. It's also going
to be a pain leveling sailors for a full CV crew in a Tsukikei. If you get an Agano,
you're going to be using the T slots for pilots (to level them.) There's a reason the
Agano ranks up in the worst CLs of Navyfield (I hear some of the French ones are pretty
bad.) It's got a horrible spread, and does sub-par damage. However, I would (personally)
suck it up and use the Agano, only for the extra slots to level sailors.
