40 is an acceptable maximum speed with AA, at level, but the aim is to reach the 42 with AA.
Even if you need to burn some experts on your repairers then and ghost the rest a bit.

42 knots with AA is the most dangerous style to drive the H39, which is a pretty
uncomfortable enemy then.

And if you have little bulge or none doesn't matter in times where 6 to 10 subs are in
most rooms...

Same here i only get it to 42 with kaiser crew if i leave one sailor at home (should be
around 700 sailors too)

As for running h39 without AA, its like a Yammi without AA, you forfeit one of your
biggest advantages, for what a bit better repair rate?

Thats not worth it in my book, h39 need to annoy the enemy and wear him down, its not a
through the door ship like iowa or L1. It needs to put the enemy under pressure all the
time, force him to fight on its terms, then the thing is almost unstoppable.

I run H39 with kaiser crew too, but I need to trim about 700 rookies to do 42 knots.

i ran my h39 with a kiser crew preaty much, and i could still hit 42 witout trimming
my crew , it is possible

u wont reach 42 knts still if u have an high lvl crew

speed cap is nerfed i think :S

there are no h39 without AA, as soon as you let the AA away h39 gets renamed to "for free
xp shoot here" in game.

So you end up with a top speed of 40, it is possible to go 42 with AA but only with low
level crew, meaning you need sick overvetted engies.

38 Knts is fast enough for a h39 to start with, it used to be a lot slower :P

What do you mean by that? Still talking H39 or..?! Check the sticky by LK to get an idea
at which levels you would hit the caps. As you can see there you wont hit speed cap at
level for most ships.
