I've put together screenshots of the various CA ranges as they were on friday May
28 on the test server.
Yes if you include ship size the Gorki with 10" does just outrange the P-pro.

A new chart, I think this is in order of range, but it's not 100% sure
I added the Hipper guns and the other US 8" guns.

I have most of those damage tests done. Ill try to get the rest of those done by next
week. I totally forgot about all that.

As strange as it seems, the York had always ranged the Balti (or at least thats how
it was three years ago up to this day).

True, just 1 caveat on the MN CA's
While there isn't any hard data atm, my gut and very limited testing tells me that MN
8"damage at range is the worst of all nations.
The 30 degree on the guns makes it loose a lot of damage at max range, while the
damage at pointblank range is good.
I wouldn't be surprised that at range even Km 8" outdamages MN, at pointblank MN
slightly outdamages KM.

Until we do a complete DD/CL/CA patch way down the line, you can see from this that the
MN range needs to be buffed to US/UK range, with the SN range being nerfed to just below
KM range.

since this is a MN / SU balance patch it's focusing on those 2 nations CA's :)

Also the Soviet CA's upon release were ultra broken compared to core nations. Range and
hitting power of the Maxim Gorki (typo) is very significant.

In a Linefight the PE ranges all 8" Guns, but remember, with County and PE we are talkin
about two ships that run 44-46kn. Firing on 55?while turning out adds up to a
range-difference that makes poor PEs cry.
UK and US: I always ranged US Ships with my York. Had once a brilliant fight over a whole
Blitz-Battle. York vs NewOrleans. Only max Range Fighting. The Difference is very small,
but the angles play a big role. York is firing on 45?while all US 8" Trips have 41?
While turning out the York can range US Ships pretty well.
What suprised me the most was the difference between York and PE, thought its just a
centimetre.

The only adjustment that i see is necessary, are the MN Ships. Sure they are pretty fast,
but the Range and Damage are poor for a CA.
I played every CA except SN. All without prem, so it took me a long time to grind through.
But it gave me alot time to get to know those ships. They are quite balanced right now.
Only ships which i would like to see a little makeover would be Noha and Suffren. Cant say
much about SN so far.

Yeah, County guns were done at 55 degrees. But I can't recall it ever outranging PE,
but it does outrange the Hipper.

Actually the US-Uk difference kinda surprised me as well, I always figured US block
would just slightly outrange UK due to damage differences.
I'll do some head to head retests both on live and on the test server tomorrow.

It's been 3 (?) years since ONF 1, that's a lot of time for $DE to ninja nerf/screw
things up.

See, this is weird, because I recall US Blockshot ships outranging York too. It could well have
been changed since though, it was a long time ago!

Quick question, the UK 8" twins, I assume the County guns. Were you firing them at ....55?
degrees.

This is going back to my pre-BB days, years ago but i vaguely recall it outranged the
Prince Eugen and had plunging fire with max range around 55 angle.

Please correct me if I'm wrong, since I'm unable to log in and test for myself.
