  • Trip.16"N's on POW

Not being fully proficient in using angles with quads and then having to deal with all
the shells missing cause they are blockshot, I toyed around and threw on trip.16"N's
second set and LIKED THEM. Big damage, a wee bit more range, and a wee bit
faster reload than the quads. Love them so far.

I just got the POW and have been toying around with setups that fit my playing
style and found the 16"n's, with just bulge and a couple bulkhead, still give pretty
nice speed. Have not tried the RP12sn's (the set before getting RP12sl's) or tried it
AW'd or SW'd. Still playing with the trip. 16"N's...

Anyone have any suggestions or thoughts on the 16"N's or any other gun to play
with? Quads just are not cutting it for me, but then again, I am no NF angle expert
like most of you. =P

I used 16Ls on front and back turrets when I hit level 88.

I cannot put 14Ls on my inner turret, only 14Ns.

Quad 14L ranges triple 16L Mk I by a tiny bit.

The problem with using triple 16L on PoW is the inner turret doesn't have enough space.
You can mount the gun but with no ammo so you end up with 1 in the front and 1 in the back
for a total of only 6 barrels.

If you want range in a PoW you either stick with the 14L or use RP12 III N.

Question - how useful are the triple MK1 16"s on the POW compared to the quad
14"s post the latest patch which seems to have changed the middle BBs and guns
for RN dramatically? I'm using 10 14"Ls at the moment; doing ok with decent spread
and tolerable damage but the limited range is a big issue. Many thanks for
responses in advance.

FYI - I did use search and couldn't find any more recent information post-patch
regarding this topic.

I use 3 x trip 16" N's with only enough armour not to scrub speed. 26-49 is very
nice. HUGE damage and little spread is a good combination. I love geeting into
range of an H44 that thinks he's god's gift and landing some huge shells on his.
moving 49knts makes you so hard to hit too.

the trip 16s to me isent worth it if your grinding, but their fun guns...

the rp 12 and rp 12s have more range, quads have more damage...

the only time i'd use them is if i have very good spread, or if you dont like the angles with teh quads and the 16's spread
can hit somthnig the quads cant..
