Holder post. If you could not figure out, these are all separate solutions, NOT one giant
solution in steps

Before I move on, I'd just like to clarify something about Hackshield.
There are MANY other games that use HackShield (Maplestory, Combat Arms, War Rock to
name a few). Also, a different anti-cheat software called Punkbuster is much more intrusive
than Hackshield. In the case of Punkbuster (which is HackShield x2), many more games such
as the Battlefield series, Call of Duty series, Need for Speed, F.E.A.R., Medal of Honor
and many more use it. Hell, even the US Army uses Punkbuster in its full glory for
America's Army 2 and 3. Hackshield is a legitimate anti-cheat program that has been around
for a while and has been trusted by literally HUNDREDS of MILLIONS of players across the
gaming world. It will not steal your personal info, nor release it.

Here's a list of known HS problems and fixes:

Thank you so much!

Thanks for this, SkS.

on your point 3)

When clicking on "turn on DEP", the programmes listed underneath are EXEMPTED from DEP.

Is that what you mean?

**NOT IN ANY ORDER**
If you are randomly crashing, try the first 3 and 7/7a

If you need further support, the NF Helpdesk is always open (see the other stickied
topic).

*If nothing works, you can always contact me ingame or through my inbox, I will try and
help you to the best of my ability. I use Teamspeak and teamviewer, so if you could
download those, that'd be great.

1) Manual Update, (also solves error 200 for XP, without the Admin part obviously):
Find your SDEnternet Folder>
HShield>
Right click HSUpdate>
Run as an administrator

2) Compatibility mode error:
Find Your SDEnternet Folder>
Find Navyfield and ENFUNSUpdater>
Right Click-->Properties?>
Compatibility>
Uncheck box for Run in Compatibility Mode>
While you're there, disable Visual Themes and Desktop Composition

3) Adding to DEP:
Control Panel>
System and Security>
Advanced System Settings>
Under Performance, click settings>
Data Execution Prevention>
Turn on DEP for all programs...>
Add HSUpdate---(Find your SDEnternet Folder>HShield subfolder>HSUpdate)>
Apply

4)Error Code 204 (i think it is. It might be 200 also)
Find your SDEnternet Folder>
Right click on your ENFUNSUpdater>
Properties>
Compatibility>
Run this program as an administrator>
Repeat for the actual NavyFIELD application

5) Hackshield Initialization Error:
You need to run as an administrator, See above solution for Error Code 204
If that doesn't work>
Find your HShield Folder in your SDEnternet folder and delete it>
Download Hackshield again at > http://www.mediafire.com/?yzmlyuwxlwh
Unzip the files into a new folder and title it HShield (just how i spelled it)>
*make sure everything is in one folder or you will receive another error>
Place that folder into your SDEnternet Folder>
Find your HShield folder>
Right click on HSUpdate --> properties>
Compatibility>
Run program as an administrator>
apply>
Right click on HSUpdate Again>
Run as an administrator> (update will now happen w/o having to open NF)>
Play NF

6) Unzipping Files:
*This problem occurs with certain virus protections such as Norton
Find any of your unzipped folders relating to NF>
Right Click>
Properties>
Unblock>
Extract to Folder

7) Unmentioned Error codes>
Make sure your Firewall is not blocking Hackshield (it is a keylogger, so your firewall
may have issues with it)
Also, disable Windows Firewall for Hackshield>
Control Panel>
Under Windows Firewall, click "Allow a Program through windows firewall">
Change Settings>
Allow another Program>
Browse>
Find HSUpdate, ENFUNSUpdater, NavyFIELD in your SDEnternet Folder>
Add the 3>
Check Boxes for Home/Work(Private) and Public

7a) Disabling Windows Firewall Completely:
Control Panel>
System and Security>
Windows Firewall>
Turn off Firewall for Private and Public Networks
*this may be already done by your personal Firewall (ex. McAfee Personal Firewall)
In this case ^, find your personal Firewall control panel and look for a gaming mode (I
know spysweeper has one) or a setting that allows certain programs.

8) Ingame Green Screen'd / Zoom Bug:
Go to your SDEnternet Folder>
a) Right click on NavyFIELD (the application)>
Properties>
Compatibility>
Disable Visual Themes, Disable Desktop Composition>
Repeat for ENFUNSUpdater
b) In your SDEnternet Folder, Find the HShield folder>
Find HSUpdate>
Right click ---> Run as an Administrator (This will manually update HackShield, so the
game will not "Alt+tab" as long

8a) (taken from starluck's post)
Greetings,
I have repliacted the zoom bug on 5 consecutive tries.... heres how...
Reboot PC... that puts us all on the same page...
Run the game.....
At the start of the first battle... DO NOT PRESS F11
Try to zoom in/out ----- nothing will happen....
Press F11 and try to zoom in/out ------ Zoom bug should occur
close the game.. log back in.. and any combination of commands will always result in
zoom bug.. unless you reboot pc...
after you reboot pc.. attempt again... if same thign happens.. you replcated this bug..
to avoid the bug.. never try to zoom in/out in 1st battle until after you have pressed
F11....

Basically, don't touch your mouse wheel until you press f11 ingame.

9) Windows Hacking Tool has been detected:
This annoys me VERY much also, but as of right now, there isn't a solution that I know.
For all I know, this error lies on the providing end, not us the end users. Best thing you
can do is to make sure you are running as an administrator, have NF on the DEP list, and
disable visual themes and desktop composition (see some of the above solutions). This will
minimize this error.
Just try not to Alt+Tab so much. Its not like we NEED to go on the NF forums, Teamspeak,
Ventrilo,trainworld, NF-Calc, NF-guides or anything like that.......
^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
**EDIT!!*** I think I may have found the problem. If you have some sort of flash player
(youtube, pingtest.net, a flash game, etc.) going on in Firefox/IE or whatever you use,
and you alt+tab, you will crash. To avoid this hacking message, don't have any kind of
flash player going on in your browser. This is not 100% proven, but I haven't been booted
for window hacking yet.

10) Other Hacking Tool/Attempt problems:
Make sure you dont have any 3rd party programs (ex. NF-Fixer) running the the background.
HackShield may see this as a Hacking attempt and boot you from the game.
What I would do is ctrl+alt+del and terminate any programs you won't need while playing NF
and delete any you never use from the control panel.

11) Data Corrupt, manual patch, Crash after manual Patch (i think this only applies for
Norton Security users; I could be wrong though):
Go to the downloads section of the Site>
Download the manual patch>
Open containing folder>
Rightclick on the manual patch folder (the entire thing, not the individual files)>
Properties>
Unblock (**DO THIS** this is the step that fixes it for you)>
After you have unblocked the files, extract to your NF folder>
Replace Files>
Follow Steps 1-4 if problem persists

12) Error 300090, Error 200: (special thanks to xXSaviorXx)
Find your SDEnternet Folder>
Navyfield>
HShield>
Update>
Right Click Autoup>
Run as an Administrator>
Start NF normally

12b) Error 300090:
Find your SDEnternet Folder>
Navyfield>
HShield>
Update>
Right Click Autoup>
Run as an Administrator>
Start NF normally

12c) If that doesn't work, combine B and C:
Find your SDEnternet Folder>
Navyfield>
HShield>
right click HSUpdate>
properties>
compatibility>
Disable visual themes, desktop composition, run program as an administrator>
exit out of that properties box>
right click on HSUpdate>
run as an administrator>
after it finishes updating>
Start NF normally

13) EULA Crash:
This solution is not proven. If anyone finds a working solution, please tell me
Step 1) See solutions 7 and 7a
If that doesn't work, I've encountered this problem with a fleetmate once, all I had to do
was change ENFUNSUpdater, Navyfield, navyfield launcher, and HSUpdater to run as admin
every time
Right click on "">
properties>
compatibility>
Run program as administrator
Also, I had to allow his program through his firewall (Kapersky)
If that doesn't work, try adding all 4 of the applications listed above to the Data
Execution Prevention Exception list (solution #3)

14) In game lag:
Either Add or remove ENFUNSUpdater, Navyfield, navyfield launcher, and HSUpdater to the
DEP list (see #3). I had one friend who lagged because those applications were on the DEP
list, and one who didnt have them on the list.

15) Error Code:OxFA4C
Go to the game download section of the website>
Download the ENFUNS installer manual download>
Once it's finished downloading>
Install>
Find your SDEnternet folder>
*side step*Right click>
*side step*Properties>
*side step*Make sure the files are not blocked by windows; if they are, unblock them.
Extract Files
Inside your SD Enternet folder, open your ENFUNSUpdater folder>
Right click on ENFUNSUpdater>
Properties>
Compatibility>
Disable Visual Themes, Disable Desktop Composition, Run this program as an administrator>
Apply>
Run NF as usual

16) Error 108:
Error 108 is a corrupted file error.
To fix this, go to the downloads section of the website and download the manual patch>
Extract the files into your NF folder, replacing all old files.
(Remember to ensure the files are not blocked by right clicking on the folder BEFORE you
unzip>
Properties>
look for an "unblock" button)

17) If you have GameVance (special thanks to jmardlin for bringing this to my attention):
Uninstall it. HackShield and GameVance cannot sit at the same table

18) If you cannot Open Navyfield Launcher:
Go to your SD Enternet folder>
ENFUNS Updater (folder)>
Rgith click ENFUNS Updater (application)>
Properties>
Compatibility>
Run this program as an administrator> Apply>

19) Error Code:0xA3C8
Delete your ENFUNS Updater Folder in your SD Enternet Folder>
Go to the downloads section of the site>
download the ENFUNS installer manual download>
Install ENFUNS Updater>
save it as a new Folder within your SD Enternet folder
(mine is C:\Program Files\SD Enternet\ENFUNS Updater)
Run ENFUNS Updater as an administrator
