Lorraine and Dunkerque have the same range according to this :

tested on the dunkerque with the same fps, BO and gunner (120) for all the 3 gun tests.

The Strass spread is the worst of all BB3.

@silvar, you do know the max angle for strasbourg is 40, not 35. You can't put those
two guns together and test them on the dunkerque. Just so you know, even the
lorraine outranges the dunkerque.

Strasbourg outranges the lorraine by a small amount. The lorraine has O-Pro1 range.
The strasbourg has about O-Pro2 range.


The one above is the range of the strasbourg guns, the one below is the range of
lorraine guns. Tested on le havre.

A lvl 120 strasbourg is probly the best GB BB3 there is....

Smallest hitbox, great range, *high submergence value?(based on experience)*, fast
45 OH speed, all frontal bismarck firepower.

Only flaw I see is lack of shells on the frontal quads. But u can put 5 CA/CL turrents
(3 quads, 2 double guns) to kill CL's, DD's and SS's so you don't waste frontal ammo.

This ship will eat away any BB3, it the players knows how to aim well and move his
ship so that it's only hit with 2-4 shells max. It can outrange and out speed a nagato,
it should be able to eat it easily. besides nagato has horrible spread making it hard
to kill a good strasbourg player. At level it has higher SD then all nation except UK.

I grinded to alsace with strasbourg, I found it to be far more fun then the richeliue
and used the Normandie to strasbourg. I never used the lorraine that much, with at
level crew. The spread was far to horrible.

The loraine does become more fun with higher level crew, but even so, strasbourg is
awesome.

With US I prefer the tenny over the Nocar, colorado VS sodak is a tie I think. But also
horrible spread on both ships. Sodak is fun, for it's speed.

With KM, well you better buy the AD if you wanna have any fun at all, bismarck is
food.
O-Pro2 is ok, but has a huge hitbox, so its easy to get 1 shotted with. But probably
the best BB3 overall.

With UK, seriouslly, the hood is HUGE. Need I say more?
The Pow is only good with KGV guns, if lucky you can suprise BB4,5's. Horrible spread
with the L guns,
The nelson has also horrible spread with at level guns and no scout -.-" Best at level
configuration is probly AW with QE guns.

With IJN, seriuosly, the spread is aghhhh!!!! most horrible of all. rather use Ise or
Fuso. good range, if you hit anything, yes it will hit reasonbly good for a BB3.

MN, bad spread, but still better compared to othe nations BB3. Can't get 1 shotted.
good steady 40-42 knots speed with BB engine later 45 with CA engine. great range.

I hope , they will add 1more gun to strasbourg , or get more range or get better guns .
If not , i wil ldo it like now , skip BB3/4 until BB5 , with paris

Biggest problem i have with Strasbourg is that the range is worse than in MN_Dunkerque

Did little testing and slapped the Strasbourg level 81 gun in to the dunkerque and side by
side with the Dunkerques own gun and Dunkerque gun outranges the Strasbourg gun by quite
nice distance (tested South , north , west , east shooting methods and i know only
west-east method gives you accurate results but the results were the same in all the tests)

The funny part is that MN_dunkerque actually has Exactly the same gun as Strasbourg
lvl 81/61 x4 13"/50 model 1931.

So seems i just keep playing with my dunkerque and not touching the strasbourg

this atleast for me came as a surprise.

In fact you can use the best crew available at the max level and simply notice it's not
enough...

Yes, for my style, the Strass is better than the Nagato :P. It's easy to get some nice
attacks with it. Now, it depend on how you play them.

This ship is fast, i go 45kts with it but i'm agree with the spread, even at 120 it is
random.

I enjoy much more the Strass than the Nagato. Really easy to dodge ennemy shells with that
ship.

The bad side is that you need a really good crew.

Nagato eats the thing, and most other bb3 alive.

As for the support slots, strassbourg has the right number of support slots, Lorraine and
Paris have too many, they have BB4 supports.


But other than that i fully agree, strassbourg is a waste of a slot in harbour, its just
really bad. You need stupid good engies to speedcap it with the CA engine (lvl 120ish),
with the proper BB engine its too slow. The spread is like old sodak on auto, and even if
it hits it does no dmg. Armourpenetration is nonexistant, like with all other MN ships.
Strassbourg in one word is crap.

Rehor its true. Lyon has more damage per salvo than a Montana. The only thing that lets it
down is its spread and range. Which is why the Lyon isnt completely OP.
