The war never went their way. That is why the H39 and H 44 was never built. Even
then, the H 39 and H 44 would have been eclipsed by the Lion Class of
battleships being planned by the RN. And a bigger gun set doesn't necessarily
constitute a bigger or newer ship.

omg lol the H44 would porbly never be built cause of the MASSIVE resources to
make it and the KMs battleships only lasted so long

the japs would probly never build a super yammy! they needed alot more carrierss
in the pacific theater

as LILITALY5179 stated, both the yammy and the H44 was designed to handle 20"
guns. The yamato in fact already had a planned upgrade for their guns to 20" or more
caliber ( I just can't remember where I saw this ). There is so much secrecy involved
with the Yamato regardless, that nobody will really know what was planned with the
ship.

There were 3 Yamato class ships built. Yamato, Musashi and Shinano. The Shinano however
was converted to an aircraft carrier when construction was little over 70% complete.

All three are laying at the bottom of the ocean each having a virtually meaningless
service life.

Japan early on realized the value of airpower (well before the US realized its importance
until Dec 7th 1941). Thus Japan wouldnt have even built a Super Yamato at that stage in
the war. The Yamato's were designed well in advance to the beginning of WW2 and once the
war started and the US Navy began their campaigns, Japan simply did not have the resources
anymore to build such warships. Its whey they converted a couple of elder
battleships/larger cruisers into Hybrids like the ISE.

firts of all lil italy the H44 was planned and they were never gonna build it cause of
the massive resource it would take for that monster of a ship

the super yammy would probly never be built they planned a second yamato not a
sure one but maby

the H44 and Super Yamato were designed to use 20" guns, however the US Navy never really
wanted them. The 16" guns were their baby and they poured a lot of effort into them.

Bigger guns = more weight = more material and fuel to propel a heavier ship = more
$$$$$$$$$ to build and maintain it
