LK, if you're interested in expanding your mech horizons, try Zone of the Enders (the
single OVA first, then the whole TV series). From just knowing the PS1 game, it was a
pleasant surprise to find what is now one of my favourite mech anime shows. The main
character is a father of two, middle-aged and loves booze. Can't get much better than
that, with some classic comedy moments and a feel-good ending. :)

One of my friends who is more of a mech fanatic recommends Dougram, it's an old series
that starts slow but gets really good/strong plot later.

Well it's done the Bill has passed and the Mangaka are already making a run for it, anime
studios are definetely boycotting the International Anime and Comiket....

A truly scary week for us Anime Fans

Mythos-related silliness? Sounds interesting. Also vaguely reminiscent of Unspeakable
Vault (of Doom). >_>

Good God that is beautiful Timmy. I just wish I had enough time nowadays to build my
models. I have a 1/350 Tamiya Fletcher kit, a 1/350 Gearing kit (that nice resin one, was
a birthday gift), a Serpent Custom from Gundam Wing OVA, and a half completed 1/800 USS
Kittyhawk, none of which have gotten any love. College commute takes up too much of my time.

EDIT:

Only things that stand out to me atm are Black Lagoon (of course), Infinite Stratos,
Lovecraftian horrors with lolis, and, naturally, MAZINKAIZER!
