  • New Flagship Tactical Options

Rather than just pointing out the biggest dog on your side of the fleet, I think that
being the Flagship of your side in a battle should give you more tactical options:

1. When Team Chat is enabled, the Flagship's name and text should be specially colored
(for example, it appears in blue among the grey and yellow text).

2. There should be an option to designate scouting requests; put the mouse over a point,
press a "Request Scout" key, and a (EDIT: gold) dot appears in all players' minimaps on
that area.

3. "Attack target" tool; put the mouse over a ship, press a key, and a red circle
surrounds that ship's dot on all players' minimaps; it stays there until the ship is
destroyed, and disappears from the map as the ship itself disappears from sight, like
normal, but remains highlighted when it's sighted again.

4. "Defend point" tool; works the same as "Request Scout", but it puts a (EDIT: gold) X on
the minimap instead; tells players where the line is weak and needs defending.

EDIT: point 5 regarding the transfer of flagship powers removed.

Nice Idea, though I think that you shouild only be able to put a max of 3 of each of the
X/Dot thingos at once on the map before u have to make 1 disappear.

K sorry for posting a similiar topic didnt see this one

But how about the

-Ability for flag to ping map every 3 minutes for 3 seconds showing all enemy ships and
they will linger (the last know postion) for 5 seconds.

-Ability to also call for fighter or bomber support same as scout just a little different.

-Ability to ask scout to drop a flare

MAYBE
- just maybe a Bonus to All ships the same as the flag.
FF= 2 extra knots and extra 20 dmg per shell
DD= 1 extra knot and extra 10 dmg per shell
CL= increased sight for all cruisers
CA= decreased reload by one second on all R turrets
BB =Increased AAW, scout sight range, increase SD to 25. so even with 900 cap a BB flag
would be 925 SD
CV=1 second decrease in reading a flight, 5 extra offensive power for all planes

Bump since the issue just came up again.

Even though it's almost a year old it's a nice simple solution to a team leader and I'm
giving it a (another{1st from me though})rec.

*I like it but who could resist recommend #42?
