I have not read this forum very carefully, and I am sure I have missed dozzens of rage threads about Italy, but here is another one regardless...

 

I count myself as a decent BB player, usually getting scores closer to 200k. Scores doesn't messure skill, and frankly, I don't care, that's not what this thread is about. Against almost every BB5 or bellow in this game, I know how to fight, I know what tactics to use, how much range they have, how their hangtime is, how their spread is. Even though I can get killed by them, I know why and I know what I did wrong or what they did good. Then the Italians came. They all have a very low max angle. They all have very good spread. They all have mediocre damage, but still not bad damage. This alone is enough for anyone and everyone to fear them.

If this is then combined wit a good submergance value (hull integrity), good turnrate, good speed and the smallest hitbox known to man, then you have the Italian BB4s. If the rest of Italy isn't, these things are deffinetly overpowered, to the extreme. I took the liberty of checking what ships killed me today in the 16 battles I played. I got killed 7 of these games, 5 times of these, Italian ships were involved. 4 times Italian BB4s were involved. They are impossible to fight! They have the same range as my monty, they have such a low max angle that their shells will allways hit, they are so small that they can, if they play good, dodge my shells 9 out of 10 times. Their setup gives them an advantage only the QV had before, that they can decide how the game is played. If they play defensive, then the enemy team will have to as well, because rushing these things is impossible. If they play offensive on the other hand, the enemy team will also have to defend, because as soon as they get in range, they have an advantage.

But let us now, for the sake of argument, say that we actually hit this Italian piece of ****. Let's say we even put a full salvo in the guy, in our Montana. What happens then? He runs back and repairs. Because, even a full salvo from a Monty wont kill them, because you will almost always hit the belt with a few shells. I have put all my 12 shells in Italian BB4s 5 times in total. 1 time that was enough to sink them, 3 times it got them down to yellow or orange, and 1 time (almost full belt hit ~30k dmg), it only got his SD down.

No ships in this games are immortal, but if any ships are close, it's the Italian BB4s.

 

So, make what you will out of this, I am sure everyone is already aware of the problem with the Italians, still, never hurts to rage, right? :)

(i) You may not use or "exploit" errors in design, features which have not been
documented, and/or "program bugs" to gain access that is otherwise not available,
or to obtain a competitive advantage over other players.

My open reading of that rule is the errors in balancing of the nation are being exploited and therefore everyone with a RM BB should be banned.

That is unless they are not obtaining a competitive advantage?

They should just turn off the Rm bb4. Make them undockable till  they can fix em.
Its a joke that a entire match now comes down to whi has the RM BB4 or if they can kill each other.
 A certain purple medal player on nebraska just 3 min ago took his RM bb4 straight into range of 2 L2's a mintana and a bismark.  Sank 3 of them with maybe 5 vollys and then just came back taking minimal dammage.  Needless to say we rolled their north and won in 4 min. 

EVents almost over so i wont be playing till next one but i have to say this is a joke.

What really amazes me is how they can be fully armored and still bust out a full 37knots, and even take a full QV salvo with only a few scratches, this blows my mind.

But if they dont have armor, most of them are easy to kill in a monty due to the montys fire power or a QV due to its high power and sniping ability, anything else either lacks the fire power or has too much of a shell travel time to get there before they can dodge, because being the size of a CL, its easy to dodge damn near anything that takes a while to get to you.

Even though most of those that flocked to RMbb4s are lousy players that seem decent in rmbb4, they are still easily killable to a skilled player. The real issue is that those ok/skilled players that have them can obliterate an entire team in seconds by just rushing, smoking and 1-2shoting the crap out of anything up to bb6s, which is quite ridiculous.


From what i see in test server they are finally getting around to fixing these issues, but what i dont understand is what takes them so long, this should have been #1 priority. Or why SDE even released such an unfinished product, that whole excuse of pressure from community is so weak.I respect companys like blizzard because they may take a while but their products are pretty poished when released.

Blizzard shows up in a suit, SDE shows up in a Tshirt and shorts.
