  • NavyField Crashes after launch.

I have been playing navyfield for what has to be coming up on 2 years. I had no problems untill the data file currupt issue came about, but i was able to fix that relatively easily. Soon after that however it started crashing  every now and then, but after they released hackshield i have been completely unable to run it. Navyfield simply ate up my processor like a fat kid eats cake. So i just bought a new Mobo, and processor(Pentium D 3.4Ghz.) And when i reinstalled it, it wouldn't even start. I can update fine,  but after i launch the game, it crashes. I have tried manually patching the last update and i have tried reinstalling multiple times. I still crash after launching.

So what can i do to get this game working? I have spent enough money on this game I'm not going to give up now.

It's a PC
Windows xp 32bit
Pentium D 3.4Ghz(Dual Core)
3Gigs O' Ram

The Game is installed on a Slave drive, normal path after that.
I'm not running it in any compatability mode, but i have tried several and none of them helped.

I've tried  both clean installs and patches.

When you load it, click [ PLAY GAME! ], does it crash and a window goes up saying :

Like that over and over and over again, each time you load navyfield?

When that happens to me, I just restart the computer.
What I figured out was, that after you crash when playing the game, some files get corrupted, and when you reload navyfield, the files don't get fixed, or replaced.

I'm not much of a computergeek, my theory may be wrong, but thats just what I think.

Ok where does it crash sort of helps to know how far it goes. Also if there is a Navyfield.rpt file in the
game folder, please open and copy and paste the contents here

I've restarted my computer 30 times in the past 2 days. No Joke. No exaggeration.

Right after launching. I press "Play Game!" and it goes to a black screen like it's going to load, and crashes seconds later.

The Only .rpt file in my game folder is nflpsr.rpt and it is a blank document.

It worked once. Maybe it crashes 19 times out of 20?

OK so from the info you have I would say a full remove and reinstall, make sure you do the remove
as described in the common solutions thread

I have the exact problem starts just like u say then crashes and iv also deleted it and reloaded it on a fresh windows install also and still hasent worked

I have the same issue.

It came up after I reinstalled windows.

I believe it has something to do with Navyfield launcher.

On my last windows install, the bottom updater bar would be yellow, even if there was no update. Now, however, both updater bars are empty and it fails to launch every time.

Default install paths, fresh windows install.

i have the exact same problem, does anyone have a fix for this, also how large is the download, mine was like 559 mb,
for some reason i remember it being larger..? anybody please help... i have 500 olives to spend...!
