If you mean Hedgehogs (HH) which you can launch at subs, theyre normally found at the very bottom of the list of guns.

7x 7.2" Mark 11 Projector (for premium HH)

5x 7.2" Mark 10 Projector (for normal HH)

Put them on T slots with any gunner and they can launch explosive anti-sub mines that detonate a few seconds after they hit the water. But the reload time is very long.

If you want actual depth charges (which drop into the water right next to your ship) then you need the torpedo launcher named Mine Launcher and some mines which you buy for olives. They can only be used on FF, DD and CL.

Careful with actual depth charges though, you can kill yourself.

For deapth charge you cant shoot but you can drop. The trick is to get near the submarine without getting torp by that sub or shot by other ship. The submarine can hide but it can't run if you can spot it.

Anyone else think Depth charges are super OP...like you can be 5 sub lengths away from one and it can do 5k+ damage

The comment  "You can kill yourself" is correct.

To survive the depth charges you drop, you need plenty of bulge.    It will get damaged.

You can Drop and OH away, however, you will loose sight of the target in doing so.   You will
reduce your bulge damage in doing so.

Most of the time with DCs, you will be up close and personal with the SS.   The SS will target you with torps, so be prepared to dodge.

HH are superior to DCs as you can stand off and fire.   As mentioned, reload time is longer and depends on your gunners reload stats.   A higher lvl reload gunner can qucikly reload the HH.   DCs reload much quicker,  only a few seconds even with a lvl 7 or 8 sailor.  (Yes, you can use a lvl 7 sailor on the DC racks of an FFY and they work just fine)

Don't forget, if you are sub hunting, a sonar op is a must.   An FF, or DD, don't need a sonar op but range is extended if they are on board.   A CL must have a sonar op to see subs.

Happy sub hunting.

I have had 2 DCs kill me 16k+ when I was 4 sub lengths away from them. I also hit the FF with 4 dud torps so that was really fun.
