Atm i have VIIC, speed is 30/37 and 25/31 underwater (22 torps, 0.2 belt and only Engi and Planesman has full crew). Can SS3 go any  faster?
Anyway my engineer is lvl 66, premium,  base +11, 130 vets and full experts. Maybe i need Elite engineer (or even 2 for SS5 and 6)?
And my planesman is lvl 69, premium base +14, 130 vets, full experts.
Oh and rest and rep are +10 or +11 on them.
Idk what to do, i want more speed, OH time and air recovery, so do i need elite sailors or i am doing fine whit my current supports?

Any succestions?

EDIT: Thx for answers! But i didnt asked what crew i need, my question was: Elites or not? How much my speed, OH and air resupply will get better if i change my planesman and engineers for elites? Thx!

Why do you have repair and restore on board? They are just weight and nothing else.

One shot from a BB or a blast of HH and you're dead anyway.

Get two L74 gunners ready for the SS4 and dump the repair and restore.

Not sure if it's worth having a rest on board unless it's really high level and provides a ton of SD, but the rep is useful for KM since they're mostly ASW subs. Yes it can go faster, SS3 and SS4 speedcap at 40 knots OH surfaced. I'd say ditch the belt armor and use either bulge or bulkhead until you lose a knot. Your supports should be fine once they get to higher levels, but +11 is a little low for a KM engy on a sub. Keep the supports you've got, they'll do fine. Not sure about the restorer though.

Sry, my english is lil bit bad...
No i dont have any restorer or repairer on board.
I mean, that my engineer and planesman has +10 or +11 base on repair and restore.
So idk to get elite engineers and planesman or stick with my current planesman and engineers.

Anyway, atm my SS3 crew is:
BO with 70 vets and near 0 exp and rookies (rep and restore base +10)
2x torpedoman (front torp 100 vets, 100 exp 1 rookie, rear torp 40 vets and near 0 exp and rookies)
Sonarman with 50 vets and near 0 exp and rookies (rep and rest base +10)
Premium planesman with 130 vets and full experts (base +14 pot and +10 in rep and rest)
Premium engineer with 130 vets and full experts (eng base +11, rep and rest +10 and +11)
And 1 premium engineer in R slot with 120 vets and near 0 exp and rookies (eng base +11, rep and rest +10)

So my big question is: r my support doing fine or it is better to get 2x elite engineers and elite planesman (and make them premium and 150 vets + full experts)?

repair and restore are not a bad idea. trust me.

ghost your BO and trim your sonar and your rear torpman.

If youre risky, ditch the sonar for another Eng and grab a frigate escort and depend on your cv to scout for you or chill near other SS.

Disregard what mythic said about losing belt, .2 belt will help you against torps more than 10 bulge ever will, and 10 bulge goes away after one hit.

My ss4 crew:
BO
2x torpers
engy
sonar
planes
2 gunner slots are empty but will soon be filled with a pair of 74s.

I know that, i lvl my engineers as a pair, when SS5 and 6 comes out, im sure i can use more then 1 engi on my km SS.
