I'd recommend paying attention in school. Your grammar needs work and you should be doing your work yourself. Take pride in your own achievements. Spellcheck/grammar check isn't an excuse to be lazy when you type.

Less time on the NF Forums and more time doing your schoolwork. Enough said.

Just think of something to grab their attention (that's why it's an attention getter) like a fact or something like the U-Boats turned the tables in Germany's favor early on in the war.

Your making the assumption that English is his first language. Perhaps you can tell him to study harder in Spanish, Filipino, Thai, Chinese, etc. and he may get your point. As to the original request, it always depends on length of time available for the presentation but you may wish to consider non military applications of submarines to get the audience attention. Opening with the recent feat in which James Cameron descended to the deepest part of the Mariana's Trench and what that precisely meant in terms of pressure on the hull is quite interesting

So they don't have grammar and correct spelling in languages other than English?

He's just asking for help, it's not like he's asking you to do his work. He's just being resourceful, broadening his source to make the most out of the topic. Maybe he posted the same question in hundreds of different military forums, who knows.

I still remember the day you binned my thread. It's for my thesis about strip club, I know NF is the right place to collect info since the majority of the players here are middle-aged white men.

Bottom line is; you hate students who are doing their research.

ChicagoBears. They don't know how to write proper English, so they don't know how to write their motherlanguage properly? Your logic is flawed. No surprise there.

Also, AlexCaboose, don't be a dick.

AlexCaboose said that his grammar needed to be improved, which grammar is (i'm going out on a limb here) not just limited to the English language, which is what I was pointing out. Don't try and flip this around on me when I wasn't addressing you and I was the one pointing out fokker's flawed logic.

No, he's more than asking for help.

That's him asking you to write his attention grabbing sentence. As for hating students doing their research.. your views couldn't be further from the truth. I am a student, and I am actively doing research. However, I believe in taking credit for your own work and I am vehemently against plagiarism. Asking someone to come up with a thesis statement or attention grabbing statement is plagiarism.

Crediting them after you used their statement/idea isn't plagiarism.

Chicagobears, not all languages use the English alphabet. Let's see how well can you write in foreign language.
