Thanks for the email informing me of the race to italy,it only came 5 days too late. and italy has been signed off by the test team? yet some are here saying it is op and will need patching. that sounds like it is signed off. but the important point here is the utter failure and lack of planning, you have pissed everyone off who got that email too late and wanted to take part.
anyway congrats on digging this games hole a little deeper.

its an event... ur supposed to actually play/follow it to earn it 

however yes.... if sde is supposed to actually send an email about the event atleast send it in time......

I see many reasons behind this crisis, some of them are know for any DEDICATE player and I'll dont write about that here, but one that few in our community point it is:

the excesive growth number of player type I'M-ONLY-ENTER-IF-EVENT-GIVE-ME-SOMETHING

That type of player is not the one that any Massive Game must feed, but SDE is doing excessive.

Are you lossing players? First you must found and fix the reason, no trying to reinsert them blindly. Is like a boat with a hole and we try first at all to throw out water before closing the hole...

Instead we need a solid and regular mass of players, making the game a pleasure to play and in that issue all we are things to do: SDE debuggin the numerous tech obstacles to new and old players, and Players being better as community so all want to play with good and well maned people. I see too many bad traits to new players in this game, acting like we have players in excese when is that our worst issue here.

SDE does not care, If your really mad  that you didnt get a email about an event you can read on the forum or on your fleet website shame on you!

Ok let me spell it out for you as you seem to need a little more help with this.

A player has left navyfield, this is bad, SDE need to try and bring him back to repopulate the server that is not doing so great. So they have a nice event, lets call it the race to italy or something, for this you need to play everyday for 29 days, great nice and simple easy to do great.

Now said player who had left gets email saying look at great event ecv blah blah ... that sounds good I'm going to come back to navyfield and start playing again. They come back only to find ecv event has failed for them as it started 5 days before they recieved an email telling them about it. Said player laughs at ineptitude and never returns again.

Now if that player who has no fleet and has not been playing NF was supposed to read his fleets website I feel very sorry for him and any old nf player who may want to return. Howerver why would they want to return to a game with players who can't understand the simple fact a person not playing the game not going to the website will NOT be reading the website and/or their non existant fleet site and will be a little pissed off if they recieve an email with info on a great event that started (and therefore ended) for them 5 days before said email.

I'm sure I've written too many words for you to understand so I'm sorry for wasting those peoples time that can read as I'm sure you all understood my point anyway.
