I've compiled a list of ideas for events to bring Kaiser server a little more attention. Granted, the goal of SDE would be to get some income still, so giving away everything would deter that. The olive calendar is helpful, but with perfect attendance the only prem. item close enough to get is a 3 day premium subscription. 

  •  Discount days: maybe 7-10 days a month, have a discounted premium item, one item per day. The item would not be announced beforehand. To obtain the discount, players must get at least 1 win that day. Place a limit on the amount of that item purchased, for example: +10 x2 vet packs for 15 olives. Limit 2. 

  • XP increase weekend: Poll players in the month prior to choose a weekend that works for the majority of the server. Fridays should be 120%, Saturdays 180%, and Sundays 140% XP boost. This would be a weekend activity boost, and wouldn't undermine premium subscriptions. 

  • Battle bonuses: Play 4 Blitzkrieg or Great Battle 1/2 games in a day, get a bonus token. 8 games, 2 bonus tokens, etc. ; up to 4 tokens a day. Premium accounts would be eligible for 6 tokens a day. Tokens would be collected for bonuses, like 24 hours of 250% XP, 24 hours of 200% credit or points gain, increased veteran conversion, etc. Allow for token collecting, where large numbers of tokens could be exchanged for olives, or EBB/ECV.

  • Continue monster ship events.

  • Random no sailor death days
  • Random ship bonus days: FFs, DDs get 25% bonus XP, then CL/CA bonus XP, CV, SS, et cetera. 
  • Potentially partner with a survey company for additional revenue, and allow qualifying players to participate in market research for olive payouts. 

  • Premium ship events: All PCL, PCA, PCV, PBB (no Event Ships) would be invited to a series of battles for credits/points/a few olives. Put 10-20 on a team, and winning teams would get a prize. For example: PCL war - All PCL up to level 51 or so could fight against each other, or all PCA from levels 48-65 against each other, or PBB from 58-80, or PCV level 100-110 and 110-120. Something along those lines to prevent a 120 crew from annihilating the competition. Would give newer or lower level players a chance at winning something. 

  • Future GoCash game card events. 

  • Monster CV: TNF operated super CVs with buffed planes (speed, dp), 4-6" guns, and light armor. No BBs allowed in room, just FF to CA. Increase expert conversion from AA, and let loose 1-2 of these CVs against a swarm of FF to CA. Goal would be to allow players to gain experts, and a possible prize for most planes shot down. Also implement an item drop plane that would be difficult to shoot down, but would drop experts, vets, boosts, or smokes. 

  • "Red Rover" style fleet event game. Use the iceberg map (3 pass throughs) with one fleet occupying a side with BB3 and under. No SS, no HH, no Mines, and NO SCOUTS. Limit to 20 vs 20. Fleet position would be a coin toss. Advancing fleet would try to get as many ships across into enemy side as possible before time runs out or all ships are killed. Teams then switch, keeping the same ships used. (makes it a bit of a challenge, eh?). Winner is decided by the number of ships that cross into enemy territory. Could be a strategic event! Would everyone get 70 knot Z99's? Or, all BB3's? 

If I think of more...I'll post it. 

Update 1:

Its pretty reasonable to expect a server merge. But, we need to get something going if that doesn't happen for a few weeks. NFNA may already know a merger was needed, and the 200% could have been a trial run to see how many active players Nebraska would need to accomodate. Either way, it was nice, but couldn't plug the holes. 

Alternatively, this situation of timeliness and response could be looked at in a different view. Servers are not always so cheap to operate. Therefore, NFNA needs to have an income to continue the service. However, the game is considered "free-to-play", and relies on paying gamers to support the non-paying gamers. The hope is that the game builds enough demand for premium content, and gamers spend money to play. 

Recently, there have been issues with the game playability. That affects both paying and non-paying customers. So, NFNA would see a decrease in players, and consequently, income loss. The next step would be to fix the problem. I don't lag, so there is evidence it has been done to some degree. Then, restore the missing player base...aka 200% event. Return some of the income....aka ECV event. It is a logical chain of events. 

We are still left with an issue though, which may have been unforeseen. Not as many people came back, and without knowing numbers, may not have pumped as much income as predicted back into the game. Without the information, we simply dont know. Kaiser server could simply be an unprofitable server now. 

We also don't know what the attitude is. There is no server to server account transfer in place, and why would there be, if new accounts on the Nebraska server have the potential to produce income? From a business view, what would be the point of merging servers if the majority of Kaiser are non-paying gamers? It would increase the cost to operate Nebraska, potentially dramatically (I can remember from CS:S that renting a 16man server was 1/2 the cost of a 32man server). 

We may be faced with a task to prove that Kaiser is worth merging into Nebraska, or have to fear starting over in Nebraska and losing everything vested in Kaiser.

I really, really, hope we get a bit of compassion though.

end of story. SDE doesnt listen to anything that is posted yet they try to make us think they do. its all a sham, it always has been.

Not if the servers are upgraded and can hold more people. The NF servers were pretty lame, look up the world record for players on one server and you will find it is held by a game that has a large portion of ex nf players and that was 90000+ people on 1 server, why the hell can't nf have one that could hold the 2 or 3k I would guess needed (it had been stated the previous limit was 1250 per server but that was before the upgrade).

So obvious reason is invalid.

Given the choice, I'd rather see a problem logging into an active server rather than watch the people on Kaiser waiting to get that ONE GB started.

Seriously, they just updated the servers, why? because, as you put it, players crying about the lag. So you are wrong again and therefore I guess fail. :D
