  • Your opinion on trade channel and trade room

Trade Channel : Please use chat channel 1 for trade, command “ /e 1” to enter, and “/x 1” to leave, /user 1 to check who's in channel, you can always type /? or F7 to have full list of command you need.


Since we have trade spam rule right now, and some delay on the trade system(which our developers is looking into it along with the HQ issue). Some players expressed that the trade room time limit should be extended, and trade channel should be entered by default when you enter the game. Players who want to get rid of trade messages can simply type /x 1 to exit the channel. We would like the community to tell us what you think.

This is not a bad idea to say what you want to buy/sell/trade, we need to add another fuction which is who is on the trade channel by typing for example " /user c1 " to see who is on the trade channel 1

And I suggest another thing is that to change the color of the trade channel from Violet into Orange as Squad chat is colored as Violet already :)

Okay, thanks for the update and I figured out that you can enter into any channel by numbers but maximum 3 channels.

For example:

Lets say you can enter into channel 1 by /e 1

instead of number " 1 " .. you can type any number you want by talking to the person you want to buy/sell/trade privately and maxmimum 3x Trade Channel chats.

Why not just remove the rule you can't post WTB/WTT/WTS in the waiting room?

That will make the job of TNF so much easier and you can focus on the more pressing issues.

You used to be able to do so, until some players complaint couple years ago. Then this rule was made. By using the trade chat channel method, those who don't want to be bothered by trade messages can still exit fairly easy. So this can balance both side interests. And also with chat channel the whole server players can communicate easier.

You used to be able to do so, until some players complaint couple years ago. Then this rule was made. Yes I am aware Why and When and by Who this rule was put in place. At that time there were hundreds of players online playing and a good portion of those were lower level. Now with the approx. 40 player average online who will be spamming these messages?

How many do you actually see in a day? 4 or 5?

Most rooms don't have any chat going on anyway, I just don't see the issue with someone posting those messages...but thats just me...and my suggestion.

Are the few sqweaky wheels now banned or even playing anymore? Seems foolish to have a rule catered to a few that was never 100% enforcable and causes headaches for both player base and mods.

you guys make me laugh, still scraping paint on the heap thats smoking and going down.

yeah fix trade that wasn't broken til SDE broke it.

BTW the trade sailor display lag and HQ delay are tied together if you haven't figured that out yet.

maybe get the test team right on it....HA!
