  • Leone Class to use historical twin 4.7inch guns

Ive narrowed this thread down to the only class people have payed attention to, the Leone DD1.

DD1 Leone has 4x55 R Mounts, and 2X35 T mounts. the real life Leone class carried 4x2 4.7inch guns. Thats not possible ingame.

Edit: I suggest the 4.7"/27 OTO 1924 turret space requirement be changed from 61 to 50 so it can be mounted on the Leone as per historial fact.

Thats the ONLY change I suggest for the Leone.

Mentioning "historical" usually = will not be accepted, especially when everything you want to add is pretty much inferior to what is currently available.

aha, got you. You admit that the italian destroyers are inferior.

If people are against the Leone, what about the dd1 Z1 class? they can mount 5 5.9inch guns with the same  range as the italian 6inch gun.

How about the dd1 storozevoj that can mount 4 Tslot torpedo launchers?

"what, its different from something else? NERF IT!"

Do you know what did before I made that post? I got out the nations' DD1s and tested guns on them to check range. Why dont you do some fact-checking yourself before you threaten somebody.

Fair enough, it's more than I thought but still less than Leone.   And Is it practical with that kind of hang time and damage?  No.

Edit** If you have actually found something on the Z1 that outranges the Leone please feel free to post the screenshot.  Otherwise I don't think you are going to get any changes made to this nation's gunset except for a possible nerfing.

gimme a screenshot of your z1 doing 75k+ attack in a blitzkrieg without torpedoes kthxbai

Both Mega and myself have done about 70K in Leones and we have the screens to back it up.  Now all I ask for is a screen shot from you regarding the Z1 claim because I can't recreate it.  I'm curious because my part time NF fetish is to be as annoying as possible in lower tier ships.  Adding the Z1 to my rotation would be fun.

I'd just say that the entire order of ships in the RM DD line is just messed beyond proportion. Before even suggesting a buff to use specific guns, the guns that are affecting the usability in the order of tiers needs to seriously be looked at. Also, everyone knows the Leone's single 6" are beyond overpowering as a DD1 in terms of its absurd velocity, range, and firepower (if anyone hasn't noticed, they hit like 7" actually), even a skillful DDX with single 7" will struggle as well within the DD category which shouldn't happen.

The truth of the matter is, the Z1 can never pack a punch to be seen as an incredible threat even with the single 5.9". Should you know by now, they have the weakest shell dmg let alone having a chance to get in range in either of the two contending ships with its best gunset. It's from that point is why people can't you seriously with that statement, trying to prove something that doesn't yield the potential in the first place simply doesn't construe a constructive debate.

Once again, if you can acclaim what you believe is right and surpass what Mako has addressed, then by all means. But chances are, I can attest to you that we've all been there and done that. And yes, Mako can prove screenshots of the Leone doing 70K+with only its gunset if you feel the need to be receptive about it.

This is precisely why the reception of this suggestion has been so negative.

The current guns in the leone, even though they require less space, are way superior to what you are suggesting to have. Increasing the space required will also make bigger and better guns available and you are suggesting that without taking into consideration the gun performance.

Space alone is the most insignificant value in a ship. It means absolutely nothing in regards to how the ship will perform. But changing that value without looking at gun performance can become one of the biggest mistakes you can do in this game.
