Thanks Joris and Lj, much appreciated.

The point is the forum can be daunting sometimes even when you ARE searching for info, most times you find the info, sometimes you don't.

The point is, why come onto a thread to state you don't want to be helpful? Beats me! Some kind of power trip, and Rehor, thanks for your help too (With a big Borat ....NOT!) :)

That was just childish trying to make this a fleet thing, i had more respect for you than that, but this just goes to show what a wonderful place our forums are.

In future Connan it's better just not to ask questions, and leave the game like everyone else because the game is left with very few people, and the forums are rampant with mudslingers who were not spanked enough as children.

Rehor has his own way of making a point.  While you may not like it, it's also true you cannot find a definitive post about reload applying to torps.  Any suggestion of such gets shot down like here.

Here's another fine example of people trying to make a point, or simply provoke, about a point that wasn't made, Rehor made this point, no-one else. You should read the thread a bit more accurately before you start slingin your guns.

These forums are becoming an alien entity.

Lets clear this up for you....when I say qoute "but so many people round here put forward a few different theories , some accurate, some not,"

This is meant in a general sense which also means for example, word of mouth from experienced players, in conjunction with what you have searched for on the forums whether you have found that information or not, and are left somewhat confused. (You may notice if you look carefully i did not say "ON THE FORUM")

But we have learned a valuable lesson, that these forums are not a place to come for friendly help from people that share a common interest.

No, the lesson we learned is that people are extremely sensitive.

I gave the answer clear and simple in post number 3 and highlighted that is old information. Nothing more, nothing less. You were the one who made a huge fuzz about how hard it is to find things and started getting hurt with the answers you were getting.

Connan made a simple question and he quickly got a simple answer... you on the other hand, got extremely sensitive over nothing and made a huge fuzz that went on in the rest of the thread.

Yes, there are a lot of inaccurate information, but there will always be people willing to point others in the right direction.

Real lesson to be learned here: If you ask a question and you will quickly get an answer, but if you make a scene you will get a scene.

Well thats the way you choose to interprit things, thats your opinion.

I am not being sensitive, I am just making a point that nobody should be subject to unhelpful remarks when they come here asking a genuine question.

When people have no energy to help, but all the energy in the world to try to be controvertial, unhelpful and just plain provoking, well that says more about them than the point they are trying to make.

Your going to tell me now nf forums do not suffer greatly from this?

Please read post number 3 and tell me that the player who had a genuine question didn't get a genuine answer.

I insist on my past point. His question was quickly answered... the rest of the 2 pages of this thread have nothing to do with him or his question.

No topical answer.  Says a lot.

A lot of these types of threads quickly get people (read: fleetmates) piling on, especially when it's a case of the blind leading the blind.  Calling on your fleet in this instance was a matter of getting somebody to tell me something I didn't know, and it could have come from the one guy or the other guy or anybody else who may have been on the research team with the guy who made the thread in the first place.

That nobody was able to provide what I asked for is the point.  You won't be seeing me apologize for that.
