In order to choose a new nation some points should be taken in consideration like some of the nations who fought in WW2 hadn't port, disqualifying them, anothers had a brief participation in the war, anothers were part of the english empire (RN) or were invaded by Japanese empire(IJN) or Nazi Germany(KM) here a full list of countries who fought in WW2

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/World_War_II_by_country

I hope this be usefull to take the right choice

I didn't use the word "enemies.""(You said that). Rather, it is"garbage content".  And I'm sorry if they're wasting their energy on this nonsense.

then what you are doing is worse, because you are despising countries, since you consider them "small"

I like NF as a simulation game.

Technical & Tactical aspects are fantastic.

PLEASE, stop turning NF into a Fantasy Game !!

All these points are important, except new nation  :

The nations of the Southern Cone (Argentina, Chile and Uruguay) although they declared the war in the last instance of the conflict to the Axis for then these nations had of an important fleet of ships the same and same situation the nations of Peru and Brazil, great part of the ships although they were of European manufacture and North American others were of own shipyards like of Argentina and Brazil, would be very interesting to take into account to realize a new nation these countries more the participation of Spain

If you need a deeper work on all the classes of ships of these nations you can count on my participation

in fact when I wrote "some nations had a  brief participation in the war" I was meaning Argentina and another south american country that declared the war to the axis but just as formalism

De hecho cuando escribí algunas naciones tuvieron una breve participación en la guerr me refería a Argentina y otro país sudamericano que le declararon la guerra al eje pero sólo como un formalismo

Famously known for having the only submarine fleet really capable of interering with the Japanese in the early stages of the war... Until the USA got their torpedoes fixed at least.

Here's a National overview:

Netherlands Strengths:
-Submarines
-Single Barrel Gun speciality

Netherlands Weaknesses:

-No high tier battleships
-No Triple Turrets

Lets split it up into era's; WW1, Interwar, and WW2. I have a good source for Interwar and WW2, so let me just go over the WW1 ships fast and why they aren't useful in navyfield.

WW1, these would be the respective early (DD1, CL1, etc) ships:

  • Destroyers:

Wolf-Class (1910)

This class arguably counts as a frigate to be honest. 4 small guns and 2 torpedo tubes. Meant to serve in the east indies. Tiny

  • Cruisers:

CL1 Holland-Class (1898)

This armored cruiser had a mixture of guns and 2 torpedo tubes. Tanky, but the firepower was lacking with its 15 cm guns. Only 2 viable guns!

  • "Battleships":

Koningin Regentes (1898)

Koningin Regentes was an armored coastal battleship with two 240mm guns that was only 100 meters long. Tiny, again only 2 guns

De Zeven Provinciën (1909)

De Zeven Provincien was a cruiser sized coastal defense battleship with 2  280mm guns. not much better.

  • Submarines:

These tiny WW1 submarines can probably be skipped, or only the K I used.

O2

With only 2 torpedo tubes this 30 meter Submarine is tiny, but promising.

K I

With 3 torpedo tubes this Submarine is a little bigger then its predecessor.

Pretty much all of these ships can be safely ignored, but lets use the 1909 zeven provincieen as our BB1. Then lets go with this:

That should account for DD1, 2 and 3. CL 1, 2 and 3, as well as SS 1, 2 3 and 4.

Project 1940 accounts for BC/BB 2 or 3.

There's also the Dutch 1913 battleship proposal armoed with 8 14 inch guns, that'd give us at least BB 1-2-3

I believe no other nation that doesn't already have representation in Navyfield can have a more viable fleet then this.

Here's some more fun information:

http://www.naval-encyclopedia.com/ww2/netherlands/dutch-navy-ww2/

They can include Dutch to the Neutral Nation. They have a Battle slot and a Harbor right now. The crew would be an interesting addition tho. All they need is ships whether real, drawings, or fictional.

The awkward thing about the Netherlands as a "one and a half" tier naval power is that they have a fleet that is somewhere inbetween what the neutral faction would be and what a full sized faction would be.

Since I had some fun with the topic a few days ago I can post a deeper set of thoughts and analysis on how different ships would be implemented in navyfield and how to fill the gaps in the ship tree. As well as how the dutch nation would operate within navyfield. (Spoiler: It's going to be a maneuver oriented nation, not a bunch of tanks or glass cannons, unless you are talking about the submarines with it's snorkles allowing for diesel power underwater and their deadly kill ratios against other submarines and shipping.)

From Wikipedia:

Conrad Helfrich, gave instructions to wage war aggressively. His small force of submarines sank more Japanese ships in the first weeks of the war than the entire British and US navies together, an exploit which earned him the nickname "Ship-a-day Helfrich". (!!) The Dutch force were in fact the first to sink an enemy warship; On 24 December 1941, HNLMS K XVI torpedoed and sank the Japanese destroyer Sagiri.

Reading that really inflames my interests.

A deeper look into a hypothetical dutch ship tree, part 1 of 5.

Destroyers.

Dutch destroyers are typically small, light, and specialized towards scouting roles and anti submarine warfare. Built with the pacific and the defense of the Dutch East Indies in mind these things are quick, and well suited for escort and support duties. You won't find gunboats here like the Kriegsmarine would have.

The stat's ive included are from wikipedia so take it with a grain of salt.

Admiralen-Class

Destroyer

DD1

Speed: 36 knots

1337-1666 ton load

31,000hp (23,000 kw)

4x1 120mm guns

2z3 533mm torpedo tubes

Scout Plane

A Van Ghent remodel technically exist but doesn't change much aside from soft stats.

Overall, seems to be a pretty bog-standard DD, which historically could sport a scout plane.

van Kinsbergen-Class

Unique Sloop

SL2 (DD2)

Speed: 26 knots

1760-2388 ton load

17,000 ihp (13,000 kW)

4x 120mm guns

2x depth charge

2x Mousetraps/Hedgehogs

This Sloop of War is a strange one, with the size and armament of a DD but with an underpowered engine. Why it was named a Sloop is beyond me, because aside from the engine, it's a DD. Only one was built, making it a little unique.

Perhaps one could switch the 120mm guns with 102mm guns, and then put the DD3 engine in it to lift the speed from 26 to 34 knots? Makes an interesting ship if implemented this way.

Gerard Callenburgh Class

Destroyer

DD3

Speed: 38 knots

1604-2228 ton load

2x2 120mm guns

1x1 120mm guns

2x4 533mm torpedo tubes

Scout Plane

It's a good but unremarkable Destroyer. Carries a scout plane.

This is the version the germans captured when the netherlands fell, and it should have options for both dutch and german guns, making this potentially a better ship then the DD4 in blitz rooms, whereas the DD4 will do better in rooms with submarines. Can't mount the british 102mm guns.

Remodel:

Isaac Sweers

Support Destroyer / Destroyer Leader

DD4

Speed: 38 knots

1604-2228 ton load

45.000 ihp (33,500kw)

3x2 102mm guns

2x4 533mm torpedo tubes

4 Hedgehog racks

Scout Plane

This thing is perfect for anti submarine warfare and carries a scoutplane.

It was towed to Britain and given british armaments, so it should have the option to mount the dutch 120mm or british 102mm guns, but not the 120mm german guns.

I love the idea of a Neutral harbor for The nations of the Southern Cone. (Of course, I'm Argentinian)

But Roeben0 is making a really big effort to make his Dutch nation works.

Other than that, coupl years ago players were planning a mix for neutral. Maybe it helps:

One thing NF needs to do is introduce more DD's, CL's, and CA's in the game. Increase their range. Reduce their damage so they can hit say BB3/4 range. It is easy to set their ranges for Blitz and GB. Increase them for GB.

That would be so much fun.

I mean World of Warships you can easily shoot other ships. Why not here?

As far as the New Nation. They Just need to add the nation. People will play.

They also need to limit the amount of BB6 and BB7 in game. It has been stated before. That alone is killing the game.
