In order to choose a new nation some points should be taken in consideration like some of the nations who fought in WW2 hadn't port, disqualifying them, anothers had a brief participation in the war, anothers were part of the english empire (RN) or were invaded by Japanese empire(IJN) or Nazi Germany(KM) here a full list of countries who fought in WW2

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/World_War_II_by_country

I hope this be usefull to take the right choice

" I mean World of Warships you can easily shoot other ships. Why not here? "

This Click only with mouse game is not
compare with a this kind of game
Here is more than this the most important is the crew .

"They also need to limit the amount of BB6 and BB7 in game. It has been stated before. That alone is killing the game."

There is a limit but when you only play click and boom game you don´t noticed that

and now go on Play Click and .... Game

A deeper look into a hypothetical dutch ship tree, part 2 of 5.

Cruisers

Following the trend of small destroyers, Dutch cruisers are generally on the small end as well.
Even the heavier cruisers carry 6 inch guns, though hypothetically they could have been upgunned if it hadn't been for the great depression and the outbreak of hostilities in ww2.
Again, stats are from Wikipedia, so take it with a grain of salt, but i haven't been able to find any sources that disprove what i've got.

High accuracy and refire rate is the name of the game here, as dutch cruisers were amazing escort ships historically.

For the sake of simplicity I have rated every cruiser over 10,000t as a heavy cruiser. Final decisions on this should lie with the developers.

Without further delay;

Java Class

Light Cruiser

CL1

Speed: 31 knots

6670 - 8087 ton load

73,000 hp (54,000kw)

10×1 Bofors 150 mm guns

Scout Plane

The Java-class was big and fast and heavily armed for its time, when it was finished in 1920

but it's guns were not centre mounted, preventing all guns from firing at the same target.

It's pretty unremarkable in every way, so a perfect CL1 candidate.

Tromp Class

Light Cruiser

CL2

Speed: 32.5 knots

3400 ton load

56,000hp (41,700kw)

3x2 149mm guns

2x3 533mm torpedoes

Scout plane

This ship was designated a Flotilla leader and a Torpedo Cruiser.

It's one of those strange Cruisers that are really just slightly larger destroyers.

Can probably get away with having a really fast reload time on its guns, allowing it to chew through DDs with ease.

It had pretty good anti-air defenses for its time, considering what it was (a DD/CL hybrid)

Remodel:

Jacob van Heemskerck

Light Cruiser

CL2.5

Speed: 32.5 knots

4060t load

56,000hp (41,700kw)

5x2 102mm guns

This "blessed" variant of the Tromp class removed the 150mm guns in favor of rapid firing 102mm guns.

Not a single convoy ship would be lost when she was on duty, believing the crews to think their ship was

blessed, and gave her the nickname "Old Jacob".

The Germans invaded the day it was meant to enter trials. It was immediately pressed into service with a skeleton crew and made for portsmouth,

where it was given depth charges from old torpedo boats and british 102mm guns.

De Ruyter Class

Unique Light Cruiser

CL3

Speed: 32 knots

6650ton load

66,000hp (49,000kw)

3x2 + 1x1 150mm guns.

floatplanes

Another flotilla leader, this ship suffered heavily from cost cutting measures, leaving it firmly underpowered.

Her firecontrol system was incredible, one of the best of its time, however, making it extremely accurate both with its main

guns and with anti air armaments.

Sadly however, the anti air armaments were short range only.

Were this ship allowed to exist at full potential with an ahistorical loadout of guns, it could be a very deadly light cruiser.

I would either make them 8 inch guns or triple turret 150mm guns. (with one double turret), but the dutch navy didn't like triples, or heavy guns.

De Zeven Provinciën class

Heavy Cruiser

CL4/CA

Speed: 32 Knots

12,040ton load

85,000hp (63,300kw)

2x3 + 2x2 152mm/53 guns

2x3 533mm torpedoes

scout planes

remodel:

KH2

Kriegsmarine alternate loadout

CA2

12 x 150 mm L/55 C/28

12 x 37 mm C/38

2 Arado Ar.196 floatplanes

Believe it or not, but this ship was only decommissioned in 2017, operating for the peruvian navy as the Almirant Grau.

It was born however as De Zeven Provinciën and later De Ruyter.

That service life of nearly 80 years should tell you a lot about how sound this design was. It may have been concieved

as a light cruiser, with a tonnage over 10,000t it really should qualify as a heavy cruiser in my eyes.

It actually had multiple possible loadouts such as 4x3 15cm SK L/55 C/28 guns, 2x3+2x2 152mm/53 guns, and 4x2 152mm/53 guns with a ton of AA.

She was a good ship guys. Germans captured it and named it as the KH2 and gave it an atlantik bow during the war.

I didn't use the word "enemies.""(You said that). Rather, it is"garbage content".  And I'm sorry if they're wasting their energy on this nonsense.

then what you are doing is worse, because you are despising countries, since you consider them "small"

Hi Guys. Dutch warships. Part 3/5: Battleships

There never were any.

But now there are.

Don't shout at me too hard for doing this. Unless you have better ideas then I do.

Premium: Evertsen-Class Armored Cruiser (PS)

"It's like one of those tiny ships like the Texas, but Dutch."

Displacement: 3,500 tons

Speed: 16 knots

4,700hp (3,500kw)

1x2 + 1x1 8.2in guns

This is just a silly coastal battleship with a strange gun layout that could be fun in blitz rooms.

I mainly listed here because of its guns, they are the largest i have yet described. Not part of the ship tree, maybe a fun, quircky premium ship.

----

Here's the real start of this post.

The dutch really liked their Coastal battleships (Pantserschip).

There's a bunch of ships we can fit into the BB1 slot. Looking at the St. Bon and Pizza Margherita from the spaghetti-eaters, We'll have to take it up a notch with some legitimately tiny PS's. just so we can have a viable BB1. Their main strength would obviously be their small size and reasonably heavy armor and armament... Well, by dutch standards at least.

The options are the following:

-Koningin Regentes (2x 9,4inch)

-Marten Harpertszoon Tromp (2x 9,4inch)

-Jacob van Heemskerck (1906) (2x 9,4inch)

-De Zeven Provincieen (1909) (2x 11.1 inch)

Put in the Zeven Provincieen, because it has girth. It's also the most battleship like out of the 4, and has pacific war history. It was renamed the Soerabaja in 1936.

Soerabaja

BB1

Supposedly there was a communist mutiny on this ship, but whether or not this is true is debatable, possibly the mutiny was simply a result of poor morale and low salaries.

It's debatable if double turrets could have been fitted to this hull, but I propose we keep it historically accurate and give it the 2x1 turrets, but with excellent fire rate and accuracy.

Displacement: 6,530 tons

Propulsion: 8,000 hp (6,000 kW)

Speed: 16 knots

Armament:

2 × 11.1 in (28 cm) (2 × 1)

4 × 15 cm (5.9 in) (4 × 1)

10 × 7.5 cm (3.0 in) (10 × 1)

4 × 1pdr (4 × 1)

Armour:

2 in (5.1 cm) deck

5.9 in (15 cm) belt

7.75 in (19.7 cm) barbette

8 in (20 cm) conning tower

9.8 in (25 cm) turret

With that problem out of the way, we can move on to much more interesting ships.

Just before WW1, the Royal Netherlands Navy saught to acquire 9 dreadnaught style battleships.

Ostensibly to protect the Colonies and maintain neutrality. It's a shame none where ever made, because they would have made interesting ships.

Seven companies submitted designs but it's believed the Krupp Germaniawerft would have won the bid so that will be our main design.

Unfortunately WW1 happened and that was the end of that.

Battleship Proposal 1913

"Batavia Class"/"De Zeven Provincien"

BB2

Displacement: 24,605 tons

Propulsion: 38,000 hp (28,300kw)

Speed: 22 knots

Armament:

8 × 356 mm (14.0 in) guns (4 × 2)

16 × 150 mm (5.9 in) guns (16 × 1)

12 × 75 mm (3.0 in) (12 × 1)

The design also included 2-4 side launching under-water torpedo tubes and a single stern torpedo tube.

In short this design would have been a lot like the kaiser class battleship, but with 8 centerline guns.

After WW1, another couple of attempts were started to launch a proper battleship...

...Which suffered largely the same fate.

But first, the dutch tried to obtain the plans for the Dunkerque class from the french.

It didn't happen, but we could use this as our first hypothetical ship, and have fun with it too.

What if the French had provided the plans for this ship? How would the dutch have made use of it?

First off, I think the Dutch Navy would have issues sourcing turrets for the thing. It might try to source British or even German turrets for it. Designing their own is probably out of the question, the experience simply wasn't there.

Perhaps the Germans could have helped them make some 15 inch triplets if the French weren't willing to hand over their turret plans.

Perhaps the British, sensing that the Netherlands were arming up, would have helped them with some 16 inch triplets.

In the end it's hard to tell what would have happened there, and I think the resulting ship would relate to the dunkerque like the 1047 project (which you will read about soon) relates to the scharnhorst.

Dunkerque class Battlecruiser

"Duinkerken class"

BC/BB3

Displacement: 26,500-35,500 tons

Propulsion: 107,500hp (80,100kw)

consider a submarine can float to send torpedo bomber, dive to become submarine.

you may make a bb, deploy to become carrier, redeploy to become BB.

If the Neutral ships are to be extended, Sweden built a couple of useful looking light cruisers, the Tre Kronor and the Gota Legion (33 knots 7x6inch guns and 6 torpedo tubes) but they did not enter service until after the war had finished.

possible terrible choice would be neutral.

in order of actual involvement in WW2 and size of forces...china involved against jaopan since 1936 i believe, and australia, very active in se asia campaigns.

ya ya no navies really...but over 50% of all nf ships are fictional anyway.  someone said they saw a cv with upswept deck for takeoff.  china bought such a cv from russia in the 90s i think.  perhaps a focus point for the new cv line.

all other countries in ww2 were either overrun, far from active battle areas, or neutral, or...forcewise inconsequential.

btw, love the research and reports on ww2 navies that did exist. THX   hey maybe research china and australia??
