If a hot war comes in Korea again it will not be like Gulf 1 or 2 or Afghanistan. I.e. lopsided casualty numbers with **relatively....** low numbers of US KIA/WIA. The KIA/WIA would most likely be in the 10s of thousands with a million plus civilian casualties in very short order.
That wouldn't happen because we wouldn't do a ground war with them we would fight from the air which our air force is much more powerful than their's.

North Korea has the ability to land a ½ million artillery rounds on Seoul in the first hour of conflict. Even with a nuke the result would be catastrophic. I still have friends that live there. Who knows if they could even get out.
The second that NK detonates a nuke or tries to in SK or on one of our bases, their whole country would be turned into a nuclear wasteland.

Imagine what we can do now to North Korea's army. We have non-nuclear bombs that can collapse their entire underground military tunnel system. It's been about 60 years since we were at war with them and we've developed quite a bit more weaponry that is a hell of a lot more advanced than what we had. No offense to NK but I don't think that they have anything that could possibly cause us casualties except for underground tunnels which like I already said in this post we can easily collapse with one bomb.
