Every body needs to be pulling in the same direction and on the same page for a good win. Also since im a sub driver also, a sub can make a difference to shine some light on the battlefield when theres no friendly scouts around. Also since most people fear subs... it can punch a big hole in the enemy defence.

I always run away from a sub in the opposit direction or when I have the change I make the run through the enemy line, hoping to get rid of the sub. Works out fine mostly. 
I get rarely sunken by a sub, 1 out of the 10 games? It's not a big problem, if you move your ship. Which seems to be hard nowadays. :P

If people paid more attention to where subs went at the beginning of the match and where they were headed just before diving they might not be so juicy :P situation awareness is your friend.
