That, without doubt, is the ugliest DD...ever. I honestly don't care about it's stealth ability,
or its advanced FCS. The enemy will run away when they see one of those...because of its
ugliness rather than its lethality.

What was wrong with coventional DD designs?

Emma makes a good point. We will have to see how the tumblehome hull handles different
sea states and whether the stealthy features really make it difficult to detect. With advances
in radar guided ballistic missiles, these designs may be the future of all surface combatants.

They say its radar signature will be that of a rowing boat. I'm pretty sure some countries
will question what the f*** a rowing boat is doing a few thousand miles out at sea.

I think it's fugly too. Oh well, I guess aesthetics take a backseat when it comes to
a ship's capabilities.

The F-117 Nighthawk wasn't the prettiest either. Perhaps it has more to do with a
design being unconventional. Having seen 'normal' ship designs all our lives, our
brains have been trained to think that's how it should look.

So when something revolutionary comes along, we often find it repulsive.

As you mentioned, this design incorporates angles to reduce the effectiveness of
radar by bouncing the signals in different directions and away from the receiver
(stealth). As for conventional designs, I'm sure this one must be more hydrodynamic
than previous designs or we wouldn't be moving in this direction. And personally, it
actually looks pretty damn sweet.
