TeamNF_MK2

Hey guys,

We know that many players still feel that there are a number of game related bugs that require attention before anything else. In this respect, our team is in agreement and would like to offer a bit of incentive for your help in fixing any bugs that may still exist.

Bug squashing can be a difficult task as we can only fully resolve an issue if sufficient data is received in order to fully reproduce the error in question. We believe that we have made strides in the past regarding the bug reports that were recieved, and we now wish to offer a 200 Olive incentive for new detailed bug reports.

The rules are simple:

1) If you have a new game-related bug to report, simply create a clear and detailed method to help us reproduce the bug along with any screenshots if necessary. Also, please be sure to indicate how the bug should be fixed (i.e. If game hangs when X happens, game should not hang when X happens).

2) Send the report to the "Bug Report" support ticket section. You may title it "Bug Bounty: (specific bug here)" for easier viewing.

3) If your report helps our team to resolve a new bug, you will be awarded 200 Olives once the bug has been fixed.

We have team members who will be dedicated to going through these reports and working on solutions to any new bugs that are reports. Please keep in mind that these bugs must be game specific, and not something that may be caused by outside conflict (i.e. ALT+TAB or Window keying out of the game leading to issues)

We hope to show that we take your bug reports very seriously and that this incentive may provide some thoroughly detailed reports. We will look forward to them.

Thank you,

-Randy

This game is such a joke.

How about you clowns stop adding new Events, Items, Ships, Crew Mods and server changes until you actually fix what is broken now, like you said you would.

To anyone that doesn't remembers Rogerborg and his game review...

http://www.gamefaqs.com/pc/925166-navy-field/reviews/review-98381

"...be aware that the pace of change is glacially slow..."
"...anything that's broken while you're trying the game will still be broken when you're paying to play..."

(Rogerborg, 2006)

Ill be impressed when I see reported bugs being fixed.

Call me a cynic, maybe Ive been playing this game too long :)

My thoughts exactly. SDE has been told what needs to be fixed, and nothing has ever been done about it. New content content gets added instead.

What will it take for a serious look at the HA workings? Desyncs and mass crashes seem to have more effect on the outcome of this portion of the game than skill does,  most of the time.

Blue ocean map, north border (with a visible ship sprite, even) the retreat boundry is ridiculous.

Bugged rooms in the regular battle area, that never launch and seemingly stay open for ever.

Game stability, in general, should be focused on first and foremost. I could only imagine the money that SDE has missed out on over the years, from all of potential longterm players that quit when they crash more than 2 or 3 times every hour.

And now you all offer $10 to report bugs, and offer fixes? How about you listen to the community for once, and keep your olives? That would be nice :)

I'm aware of atleast 200 bugs that have been reported, and years later, not addressed, not acknowledged and not fixed.

How about doing those first?

The reviews of beta are even better. Funny thing to is they still describe the game PERFECTLY. The key problems, still here, 8 years later and they will still be here, the day NFNA is shut down.

Obsessed

That's what happens when you have retards running the game.

I won't look a gift horse in the mouth and, actually, this isn't a bad idea. Bounties for bugs is common in the industry. However...

It's all well and good to fix 'bugs' like the OH while getting TB'd crash bug (which I haven't seen in a while so I hope it's fixed). Sure, they're reportable. However, today how many GBs did I lose due to CV/BB/SS on my team crashing in the starting grid? The auto-split isn't all that good at balancing under the best of circumstances. Add in frequent in-game start-up crashes and you have a complete mess. What's to report? I hit the F key and go boom?
