I got this virus on my computer a couple weeks ago. It got to the point where it wouldn't
even let me start windows, it would just go to an HP default page. The only way I was able
to fix it was to do a factory reset.

Back up all the files you want then just format your drive and reload the OS. Easyist way
to do it. Your comp probably has viruses embedded in your OS through IE, Which is very
unsecure and attracts alot of Virus. Thanks Active X controls lol. Well start using
firefox its much safer than IE. Maybe you will learn to use antivirus and firewalls and
Windows firewall is a FAIL. I use AVG free version and Comodo personally they work pretty
well. As somebody mentioned Malwarebytes is a good malware remover. I suggest that you run
a virus scan twice a week to prevent and tracking cookies and what not from building up
and becoming a problem.
Ps. CCleaner is a very good program that clears your recycle regristries and temp files
use that once in a while (i use it at least once every two weeks)

Should just reformat with an OS CD then install avast or AVG both decent free anti-virus
softwares

This is for the greater good bore.

If all those above methods won't work, then get a boot CD to completely wipe out
all data in your computer.

Spybot Search and Destroy is a good program as well.

try booting your computer in safemode first, then install avast and get it running, after
that you might want to get the program Malwarebytes, just google it they have a free
version on their website for download.

Try system restore say a week or day b4 you got the virus, sure it will still be there but
it will give you some time to try and scan.
Another thing is to DC your internet LIKE NOW!

ok like every program i have is infected and i cant open anything... even MS paint =_=
i just tried avast and then opened it but said error check event log or something like that
